i just wanted a recommendation before i buy a sdhc memory card, i am thinking of buying a 16gb card
now what speed is recommended for the desire z? shall i get a class 6 or class 10?
what works best for the desire z?

If the cost difference isn't all that too great, get the class 10 for a bit of future-proofing.

But in reality, you really won't notice any perceivable performance advantage when using a fast card on the phone.

Unlike a DSLR camera where a fast memory has a performance benefit, the Desire Z is not capable of capturing multiple shots to take advantage of a fast memory card.

Mine came fitted with a Sandisk 8GB Class 4, so HTC obviously believe that's enough.

TBH I've had no problems with it at all. Fast enough data transfer for everything I use.
