I don't know whether it is a software issue or a hardware issue but when browsing the web certain images with a fade in them are wavy like when converting a 24bit image to say a 16bit image. To see what I mean, the Apple Mac Mini renders like a criss cross. Is this normal for OLED?

I get it, too. But when you zoom in it's fine. It's just the scaling of it, nothing to do with oled. I get it on my normal computer screen when seeing very large images at a zoomed out view.

As mentioned in another thread, most phone networks compress Web images so they will look pixellated or loose smooth tonal transitions. Try comparing with images viewed when you're connected across wifi (so no network compression). There should be a noticeable difference.
