Default homescreen facebook shortcut?

Is it possible create a homescreen shortcut to Facebook touch website? I'm not liking the Facebook app as it doesn't show notifications on the current icon. Do I need to have the widget?

Yes. Long press on the home screen - shortcut - bookmark, then select the facebook bookmark you have already created.

You could just download the facebook touch app and create a shortcut to that program.

Is there any difference between the Touch App and the Touch website?

Will I get notifications if I download the facebook touch app, as I do with the touch website?

I didn't think you got notifications from the Touch website? I thought the Touch website was just a variation of Facebook which is more suitable for touchscreen phones and other touchscreen devices?

The Android Facebook app gives notifications, but not for everything, and the app doesn't show as many statuses as you would see if you checked Facebook via a PC or the full website.
