Default The order of things E, H, 3g, 3g+ etc.

Sorry if this a basic question, but I see various connection icons on my Orange Desire and wondered what the order of all types were? How many types are there?! What are the advantages of each?

From what I understand they are the mobile data connection speed. I think the order is E 3g 3g+ the h with e standing for edge and h standing for hsdpa so basically edge is slowest and hsdpa is fastest.

G goes before E.. G is GPRS (2G) and E is EDGE (2.5G).

Also, as far as I know 3G+ is just oranges name for HSDPA, so 3G+/HSDPA are the same. I could be wrong about that though, my Orange Desire is unbranded so I don't have a "3G+" on mine.

But the other would be:

G E 3G H/3G+
