still waiting for my htc desire black,what do people think look the best brown or black? not seen a comparison of the two both together but went for the black because there will be less of them.been waiting 3 weeks for my phone and running out of patience.
Mine's different to both those, black like the one on the right, but the bezel part is purple looking
The one on the right (and the one you're refering to) is the brown one. Its called brown, but its more liek a dark grey bottom and a purpley-grey bezel.
I have the brown and love it in different lighting it is different colours. My mate has the black version so I have compaired the two and personally prefer the brown.
Given the choice (as text), I'd probably have opted for 'black' over 'brown'. But I do think this brown one I got is very stylish-looking.

i google'd for the pics but the brown one looks diffrent in every pic, dunno why!?
i have had enudd white and black phones, so just wanna make sure that the brown one doesnt look dark enough to give a black impression.

The picture higher up in the thread is quite accurate. The color though is stated as Brown, but has a change at different angles. It will however never be mistaken for black

I am a little vague on one thing that I would like to clear out. By "brown" do guys you refer to the purplish, dirty slight brown? it seems to be not really brown but something slightly different, for example the hero, tattoo and (I think) most other HTCs have this clean light brown look that I really like but the desire seems to be a little different, the one at the shop that I had a play with seems to definitely be maybe a darker, and also different shade of brown to the hero? also the metal casing that surrounds the screen is not silver like on the hero but it is a sort of purplish pinky sort of brown, is it supposed to be purplish? This is the only thing I am really not liking of its aesthetics since I am not a woman. I was originally opting for a hero as I love its angular, and linearly sharp sort of look with the completely flat screen and all rather than the bulgy bloated look of the desire. Anyway, I was able to look past the more feminine, curvy look of the desire, but could someone please tell me if the "brown" color is supposed to be a pinkish purple? are they all like this?

and oh, if you are not into the bulgy bloated look of the desire, why cont you check out the Legend, its kind of a replacement for the Hero.

So I guess all the "brown" ones are this way. Legend, ughh, now that is ugly! not to mention the small screen, much worse than the desire. I didn't imply that I hate the desire's looks because I do, I actually really like it but I just slightly prefer the sharp angular look of the hero.
Do you find that the bezel is a bit to purple/pink?
No. I don't see why people are distrustful of any colour resembling purple. It's not like it's a glaring neon colour, it's just a subtle hue around the edge of the phone.
