Default Copy files to where?

What a great forum.
I have a problem where I need to copy a document to my desire, but I do not know where to put it. I have it docked and open up removable devices and can see all the files but do not know where to put it?
Any help appreciated

Put it anywhere, just create a folder and put it in there.

Hello,
Just create a folder on the SD card called documents, or whatever you like, most apps will look at the entire card, so its just a case of creating folders to help keep things organised.

Tip: install the app called astro, its a great file organisers for android that let's you see the files and folders on the phone and backup or install apps from the sd card.

I created a new file and dropped the doc into it and disconnected, but the phone still says "No files were found on your SD card"
I just downloaded Astro, and I can see the file I created. But when I open it, it is full of random numbers and letters

I dont think that .rtf format is supported by quickoffice I just tried the same as you but if you change it to a .doc in word or text editor on your pc it works
