Default sim lock and no vibrate when getting sms

hi.

when i get sms message i get the notification light but it does not vibrate despite all settings set to vibrate.

also, how do i set up sim lock? i.e. when i turn my phone on i need to put in a 4 digit code to activate the sim?

Go to settings/security, in there is the section to set up simlock

Go to your messages, press the menu button and choose settings, scroll down and there should be a vibrate option there as well? Make sure that's ticked. Idk if its the same for the Desire but, on my X10, all the settings were set to vibrate but, i hadnt known about that setting and now it vibrates when I get a text .
