Default reformat 32GB SD - now only only 16GB ?

this is happening on HTC Desire

perfectly OK 32GB disk ( been running on my old smatphone for 15 months) and put in Desire and it showed only 16GB. Reformatted disk and still only 16GB

according to HTC docs, the Desire supports 32GB

any thoughts guys ?

Michael

Was it partitioned? What brand is it? Where did you get it?

Have you downloaded and tested it with:

Download H2testw 1.4 Free - Check your USB for errors with this tool. - Softpedia

Actually, just a thought, but the desire struggles to format 32GB cards as that is the maximum you can format FAT32. It may be worth formatting it via windows to Fat32
