Is there an app that actually records the incoming caller that works on the Desire?

I'm pretty sure it does this "out of the box" check the manual, I'm sure there is a menu option to record calls when one is in progress

I would like to be able to do this too.

I certainly haven't seen any menu options or anything in the manual about it. I've looked at several apps but many say they don't work on the N1 so I'd assumed that the Desire wouldn't work either.
