Default Adding extra system languages

I am considering buying a Desire when my current contract ends in a few weeks. I would like to have my phone set up to have Norwegian as its system language. I do speak the language and may be moving to Norway at some stage, but I also like to do this to deter office pranksters from fiddling with my phone! I live in the UK, and the phone that I looked at yesterday had only English, French, Spanish and Italian as possible options.

I am aware that I can get hold of apps for a Scandinavian keyboard and Norwegian dictionary so that I can text my Norwegian friends. But can I find some way of setting up my phone in Norwegian? Is there an app for that? Or would I somehow have to get hold of the firmware for the version of the phone that is sold in Norway? And is that possible?

Thanks.
