Question Desire speaker crackles when receiving notifications

Hey guys,

I have been noticing this for a while but I have never really thought much of it but I decided it's about time to ask if anyone else is having the same issue as I am!

Basicly when I receive a notification for an SMS or something the speaker crackles at the same time as playing the sound, and it sounds distorted. This doesn't always happen but it does happen quite a bit.

I have only heard it when getting notifications and not with phone calls, alarms, media etc... I am running GingerVillain if that helps at all.

Has anyone else had / having this and if so could it be a hardware fault?

Thanks alot!!

I don't think the speakers are the best on this phone. I had to have my earpiece speaker replaced due to crackling.

Yeah I agree... The speakers are not very good, my mates iPhone 4 has a much better speaker. I hope mine is not faulty.
