How big should the Titanium Backup folder be?

My Titanium Backup folder weighs in at about 380mb with 154 apps. It seems way too big.

I've got backup history set to 1, deleted backups for uninstalled apps and trimmed backups where the history is > 1. That only saved me about 40mb. It feels like I'm missing something.

Dunno, its different for everyone. Mines 665MB

That's all right then. I thought mine was excessively big but 380 mb doesn't seem out of the ordinary by comparison.

turns out i dont even have it installed since i put this ROM on.. whoops!

325MB here with 123 user apps, so your backup size seems good to me.
You can keep it on a tight size if you delete all the backups for the apps that you have uninstalled. There is a batch command for that.
