Default Can't get 3G signal ?

Hi there all,

I bought the HTC Desire unlocked from CWH and love it !
Though the only problem i got is that I can't seem to get a 3G signal. When i set my settings to GSM only i only get GPRS, WCDMA only i get H(signal) and when i set it at the GSM/WCDMA auto i also get the HSPA but can't get to 3G in anyone of them.

Am I doing sth wrong or is it normal ? I got the 3G signal only once in my house but I can't seem to get the 3G signal again .

H is 3g - the better quality for speed, and only possible with excellent 3g signal

but is
GSM only -> GPRS/EDGE
WCDMA only -> 3G/HSPA
GSM/WCDMA auto -> choose the best signal according to your location

Am I right here to say that ?
