I beat you to living.

(If you were, in fact, born in 1988.)

A tip of the hat to you, regardless.

don't suppose the DT-910 will show up at vzw in the future?
I don't want to pay $70 at ATT when I can get 25% with vzw corp discount.
or maybe I can make do with the 900 with a home made stand.

I know I'll want more than one wireless charger in the future. Therefore, I'm going to try to rig something up until VZW offers the 910 or when the Nexus Charging Orb comes out (whichever is first).

Picked up Nokia 910 today, really nice stand actually. Works as expected. Pricey but it does the job.

Yeah, I dont have that option. I am hoping that the HTC NFC is a non-tap version. I have hope seeing some people with cases still have Qi charging work.

I will say my N7 has a thick leather portfolio case and NFC works fine through it...

It's inductive, so any case without metal in it will not be a problem unless it's monstrously thick - physically putting the coils too far away.

I got this from my local Verizon Corp Store. They only had one left, and they had 0 of the Nokia ones. It was worked well up to this point.

Amazon.com: LG WCP-700 Portable Power Mat Home and Office Charging Pad: Cell Phones & Accessories

I can't find it on Verizon's website, but I did get it from a Verizon Corp Store. Not sure if they just don't sell them anymore or what....

Am I the only one who wants that Fatboy Charging Pillow?

Chatted with a Nokia rep who said to keep an eye out on Amazon for it..
They are occasionally on ebay for various prices, but the rep shared this link:

Nokia DT-901 Wireless Charging Pillow - To Suit Nokia Lumia 820/920 - Black
Nokia DT-901 Wireless Charging Pillow - To Suit Nokia Lumia (DT-901B) | Techbuy Australia

I dont know if i should wait for them to be more widely available, or if i should act now because they wont exist in the future!

The fatboy is the most utilitarian charger, very easy to use, and doesn't require precise landing of the Oh So Wonderful DNA for charging contact......it is also best for lazy mornings in bed as it does not need a flat surface for use......wonder if someone might come put with a charging case for the DNA......now that's another accessory to put on my wish list

So my charger showed up this afternoon. I plug it in, and it starts charging. A minute later the white light starts blinking and charging stops. Then it immediately starts charging again. Repeat cycle.

I wonder if I can exchange it at a corporate store if it has them in stock.

I have the same problem with my LG model. It will charge fine sometimes. Then other times it will charge, the beep and say it is not charging, the beep again a few seconds later and start charging, then rinse and repeat. I ordered the Nokia one off of Verizon's website as I think I will take this LG one back to the store...

I got mine today as well. I tested it and it charged for 10 minutes with no interruptions. I'll update tomorrow if it doesn't charge all night or if I experience any other issues.

You should have received a return address label that's prepaid in the box. Just call customer service back and tell them you have a defective unit and that you need to have a new one shipped because I'm fairly certain no stores have received them yet.

At any rate, I'd request an overnight delivery for the troubles you're going through and tell them that the it does work for other people with the same phone and charger.

Hope you get your new one soon! This thing is awesome!

So for the first time I noticed my LG beeping while my phone is charging. But it's not as loud as the original beep when you set the phone on it at first.

one more question with the cable that goes into the stand..what kind of cable is it cause if i could get a different cable i still might have to..cause it will be easier for my layout if the side going into the stand had a right angle tip

so how would i go about searching out a replacement like that

I'm not sure. It could be proprietary. It's very narrow and round.

It looks proprietary. The connector is a very small round female connector. It may not be possible to use anything else or get a 90 degree connector.

Default Nokia Fatboy works great with the Droid DNA

Got mine on Saturday, plugged it in, set the DNA on it, and it started charging right away. Highly recommended, if pricey. Don't have to worry about precise placement and the DNA stays put.

Had to return the nokia because it would cycle between charge and disconnect every minute or so. I went to the Verizon store, and their display model did too. The LG pad worked great.

Got my 910 in the mail today at work. Hooked it up. Works like a peach! No on/off at all and it works through the Otterbox commuter case.

The Otterbox case gets a little warm...but not hot. Nothing like the heat coming out of my laptop vent.

This is great news since it means it does work for someone. Can you confirm that you turn off Bluetooth on the DNA, Touch the phone to the JBL and the DNA turns on Bluetooth automatically? If so can you explain exact steps taken? I have tried with my JBL and a demo unit at Verizon without luck. I have also tried two DNA's (sadly first one was dropped...).

THANKS!

I have the Otterbox Defender and have been waiting to see if anyone had any luck charging with a case that thick. I found the Nokia on display at ATT, but they had none in stock. I tried it and it worked great. The Verizon store had them in stock and a display to try again a week later. I have been using it for a week now with no problems.

I charge through the Otterbox Defender. I have a Nokia wireless pad at home, and I made a car dock with another Nokia pad.

Sorry, just saw this. If you still need it i will search for it.

Every once and a while my LG will cycle charging off and on. But so far it's not been a problem.

Love the convenience of it

And now this thing is constantly beeping on and off. It is downright annoying.

So it's not just me then :-) Hmm, constant beeping doesn't sound good (pun intended). Any idea what the trigger is?

No clue. Unless the unit is just bad.

I'm not using a case or anything. I make sure it is on there perfectly lined up.

It's downright annoying as ****! Lol

I have a barely used Standup model that I am willing to deliver :-) Give me a reason to go to the Source and stock up too!

No beeping what-so-ever.

Mine went crazy on me the other day for some reason, but unplugging it and plugging it back in fixed the problem.

Really ! I am quite interested in this. Does the magnet hold the DNA, or do you just have to lean it?

They're actually aren't any magnets like originally thought, its just a sticky rubber.

Check out Droid Life's review of it, there's a picture of it with the DNA if you want an idea how it looks.

Pretty tempted by this myself.. Anyone want a good deal on an Energizer single pad?

Yeah DL pics show the orb should work well with the DNA. Mulling one over myself for at my desk at work...

I went ahead and placed the order for it, figure I'll take the Energizer pad to work and put it on my desk. Or just put charging pads all over the house..

Is everyone still doing well with the wireless charging? I just got my Nokia DT-900 today, and so far, it's working wonderfully. Charged up from 60-95% or so in what seemed like a reasonable amount of time (I wasn't really timing it). Doesn't seem to have to be on there too precicely, and it's small and unassuming, fits perfectly on my desk, and the small white charging LED that shows whether or not it's charging is nice as well.

I use the Nexus Orb at work. Place my phone on it and play Pandora all day long. Perfect angle. I place the phone sideways on it, and it makes a nice desktop display. Love that charger, and may get one for home sometime.

HTC has broken the boundaries again with the DROID DNA. This 5-inch behemoth comes to compete directly with the Galaxy Note 2, but what gives it the edge over the popular Samsung device? Well, this guy has a full HD 1080p display. Mix that with a p... Read More
