Default droid eris vs g1

Hey guys, I'm going to get the droid eris, but first I would like to know the performance difference between the eris and the g1, because I have heard that the eris is a little slow

They both use the same 528mhz ARM11 CPU core....Eris is a superior phone over the G1. Not sure why someone told you it was slow....its not. I have no issues on mine.

The Eris also has 512 Rom and 256 Ram while the G1 has 256 Rom and 192 Ram.

I believe that translates to 147 Mb of available app memory for the Eris and 78 Mb for the G1
