Would you believe 10.1 MB compressed?

EDIT: it's actually 11.4 MB, the file I originally downloaded was corrupt.

Are you roooted? If so, are you running a ROM that has the APPS2SD feature?

It's become rather easy. I used to have some problems installing the apps that I wanted; choosing between which I "wanted" and which I "really wanted". Once I rooted that problem was eliminated (as well as other issues).

Every time I press the icon it goes to a black screen, then back to my home screen. I'm on 2.2 KaosFroyo and I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times.

Same thing, just goes back to home screen when I try to open it. Could it be what ROM you are on? I have plenty of space on my phone, not sure what the problem is.

This works 100% on 2.1 Sense ROMs it looks like. 100% on Plane Jane 1.0, and 100% on xtrSense.

I'd go with a 2.1 ROM. Maybe 2.2 doesn't like it.

I'm having the exact same problem. I downloaded and installed it from the getjar.com mobile site on my Droid Eris. My hubby has the Moto Droid and it works fine (and shows up in his app market). Mine is missing the same parts as yours.

Mine is the same way, kind of laggy too. I am running Nonsensikal Froyo though. It is the ONLY laggy program on my Eris.

I have gotten far enough now that I need those other colors to show up and they don't. I am on like Scene 1 level 50 or whatever it works out to be.

The Eris wasn't meant to handle a game like this. And if you are having problems with a level, look it up online so you can see where the barriers are. The lagginess does get rather annoying, but it's better than not having the game at all.

There's an update today that supposedly adds support for QVGA resolutions and optimizations for additional devices.

Thumbs up Angry Birds now available for Eris

After today's angry birds update I checked the market and sure enough it was there. I haven't tested it yet but I can only assume the graphics glitches have been fixed if they released it for us. Yay.

Yup, looks like it's there finally. Downloading now to give it a go.

**EDIT** Pretty slow. At least on my Eris.

I updated Angry Birds only to find that it actually runs worse now. It went from being ok to completely unplayable.

I was just testing this on Tazz Froyo and it was slower than...well you know. Just for a goof I'm restring a nand backup of xtrROM to see if it works any better. I was really looking forward to playing this but maybe the Eris just can't handle it.

im pretty sure the eris will not be able to run this updated version very well. they added much more textures and movement in the background... it just seems to be a liiiiittle too much for our poor little eris to handle

I backed up the app, then installed from market and restored data only. I still have invisible things on my game. I'm on level 21.

Yeah, its really slow now. Although, some people are complaining about the speed even on newer phones (not nearly as bad as hours though). So maybe they messed something up.

same thing, now the textures are there, and I must say it looks great, just super laggy now....I'd rather have those blank textures back and be able to play it. I'll throw it on my wife's new Driod 2 and see how responsive it is.

I found the game so sluggish that it was impossible to play (and not enjoyable).
I uninstalled 1.4.2 and re-installed 1.3.5 as I still have the zipped .apk file on my SD card.
The game is now playable again, but I lost all of my progress.
Oh well, I get to do them all again!
Cheers,
Jon

Yeah, I'm about to revert back to the previous version. Way too sluggish on a lot of levels. For my Eris, it seems like the ads that drop down at the beginning of every level and take forever to go away are what cause a lot of lag. Of course, the extra graphics don't help.

I'll just install the "new" version AFTER I have three stars on everything in the previous version.

If you are rooted, download AdFree Android from the market, it removes all ads on your phone and is free.

I'm on the Nonsensikal 10.9.1 ROM. Despite it installing quickly and smoothly, it runs waaaay too slow to be even playable at all.

I've had no crashing or background issues with the .apk version, but it is a bit laggy. Launching the bird is fine, but the physics and the scene reset are rather slow.
