Default Audio problems with downloaded movies.

I recently purchased an Eris and I'm getting frustrated trying to get movies to work from the micro SD card. I converted and resized them but I can't seem to get the audio to match up with the movie. I've tried various levels of quality and multiple video players but none seem to help. The video looks great but the audio never matches up correctly. I tried the same videos on my brother's Blackberry and Iphone and they work perfectly. Youtube works fine on my Eris though. Anyone know why this might be? I absolutely love this phone and would love if someone could help me out with my only gripe so far. Thanks!

I havent had any problems, I use "video player" from the market. If you havent tried that one yet give it a try and see if it fixes the problem.

what program do you use?

I use Super C with settings:

RES: 480x272
BitRate: 528 or more MAX 720
AudioBitRate: 64-96 no more.
File format: MP4

***I use CCCP codec pack. You can find Klite codec pack too. Either will work.

If you use bluetooth stereo headset the audio buffer is slower than the video so it will seem like it's lagging. Use headset directly plugged into your phone instead (video only).

I used 4Easysoft total video converter with the same settings you stated, as well as lower and higher quality. I spent about 4-5 hours converting small sample clips trying to get it to work. I have not tried the codec pack yet. To be honest I'm pretty new to all this and have no idea what that is (which is probably a big part of the problem). I have noticed that the audio matching up is much closer for converted regular definition movies rather than HD movies so maybe I should explore that more. I'm just a frustrated right now and hoping someone can give me the tip I need to speed up the process. Thanks for all the help so far!

Hows your PC speed? Try installing CCCP - Combined Community Codec Pack and try using Super C. Or try downloading the codecs and convert the video using your program.
