I have not figured out how to perminatly change the email or sms icons ... icons that get the green notification dot always go back.

Nevertheless, great job on the icons! Maybe when you figure out how to prevent them from changing you can chime me in.
Also, under "edit shortcuts" there are several camera icons, camcorder, sms, mail, etc. I guess those were populated when I was experimenting with the program. Is there a way to clean those up off that list? For some reason I believe they are taking up disk space on the phone itself, not the SD card.

Thank you.
I disabled Sense and I'm using BetterCut to change my icons. The Icon packs I'm using are Android 2.0 and iPhone 3G. I had to disable Sense because some of the changed icons wouldn't appear changed.
My screens have changed a bit since then, I'll take some more screenies later.

I think my battery life is better without Sense, and the speed is great, a lot less lag.
Thank you.

What...exactly...would I lose by disabling Sense and how might I go about doing such a thing? The lag and battery issues are my BIGGEST gripe with my Eris. If I could fix those problems by dumping Sense w/o adding new ones I would be on that solution like white on rice.

Settings>Applications>Manage Applications: Find HTC Sense in the Apps list, press clear defaults, force close, then press the home button. After that it'll ask you which to use, Home or Sense, pick Home.
You'll lose the ability to use HTC widgets, but not android ones.

Id love to use some of your icons, they're great! But not sure how to do it...

Here's the one I'm using at the moment... went for a somewhat neo-industrial retro-future thing. The custom wallpaper made all the difference!
NOTE: This theme works amazingly well with the
Verizon shell holster combo . Yes, I fly my geek flag high and proud. *lol*

That is Digital Clock Widget by Maize You added it as an android widget, then you use programs > Digital Clock Widget to change the color/action/size/etc...
I'm guessing it's also Weather Widget Forecast by Francois DESLANDES, (I just tested the free version. It doesn't auto-update the "Current Location" if you move cities. You tell it what city you want. The paid version says it will auto-update location).

Some one needs to make me a tutorial on how to make a lockscreen. I've tried it at. It will only allow me to save camera photos.
The HTC Droid Eris launched for Verizon Wireless on November 6th in part as the carrier's first Android Phone. However it was overshadowed by the other member of the inaugural Verizon Droid duo - the Motorola Droid. The Droid Eris might look fa... Read More
