Hey.
i will not work while you are pedaling through the woods  With this app you should keep still while measuring.... I use it at gym and it works very good there; I can pedal the fixed bike. It works fine on the elliptic bike also. If your heart rate is above 90bpm it will measure it in 2 to 3 seconds.
