Best bet is to email/call/visit the Info Technology Department of the University.. All schools have different email setups.

I still have not been able to get my school email to work either. I have pretty much given up on making it work for right now, and just set it up to forward all the emails to my gmail account so that way i at least get them easily.

well if you are still having problems... like Bryan_Kosh stated... go to the IT dept for your school, but I suggest first looking on your school's website (IT dept's page) for information. For my school, they posted the EXACT settings I needed for my mail to be sent to Outlook and my phone.

The moment I finished editing the settings the mail was immediately sent to my phone! I hope this helps!

this will probably take a different plan from Verizon. The enterprise one or something like that I believe. At least that is what is was called when I looked into that for my blackberry. It is because it is on outlook.

just import your school mail into your gmail. go to your gmail>setting>accounts and import> then just type in your school email and password. I just did this and it works great.

Is there any benefit of using gmail? I have tried to stay away from it, well because I don't know much about it, don't really need another email (was given it upon buying the phone), and the regular mail app works great.

With my school I can forward mail to my gmail account. You would need the schools SMTP/IMAP info to be able to sync to school mail.

Default This Should Help

You will first need to find your server settings for you email account. To do this, sign into your e-mail account using Outlook, our the School E-mail Website. After you sign in, click the drop-down arrow next to the Help question mark, and then click About. scroll down and find the External IMAP and SMTP settings area (about half way down the page). Copy this information down.

Next get your phone and go to Settings>Accounts>Email/Add Account (may be different for certain Android phones) when you go into these settings you will use the External IMAP info for the incoming server settings and the External SMTP info for the Outgoing Settings.

I hope this helps...you can also follow this link Access Your Account Using IMAP or POP E-Mail Programs for any other questions
