I just thought that was cool. Post cool stuff that surprised you about the Eris.

[edit] By the way, by "weather app on the home page" I mean that I have only the weather app there, nothing else; it covers the whole screen, which surprised me when I first tried it out.. I thought it'd be only a temporary experiment, but I think I'll leave it there.. it has a little "update" bar at the bottom of the widget.
What's the name of this app?

I call mine, "Wilene" after my very first date (6th grade, movie theater date, her parents dropped us off and picked us up after the show.. she shared her Bon-bons with me.. I held her hand until her parents arrived).

Congratulations to you and all Saints fans.

I was rooting for the Colts. It appears that destiny was rooting for the other team.

YouTube - VIDEO0039

woke up with a massive hangover, black & gold beads throughout my home, and lots of videos on my phone. It wasn't a dream! We won the Superbowl.

Edit: AND my battery lasted all day and night.

Wow! So is this the off topic chat room? This post will be boring as hell after all of the snow talk, references to 12 inchers, and Super Bowl victory but I'll try to get on topic. I was surprised by the windshield wiper too but I'm still baffled by one HUGE surprise. I cannot believe that my piece of shit Omnia had a better Google maps app (ability to get favorites and routes from online) and my GOOGLE OS phone does not have this feature. That is just absolutely insane to me.

I was a little surprised with this as well. The app works ok, but I did expect it to do a bit more than it does.

I am really surprised at how much I like teeter. Stupid game is really addictive.

I don't believe you can run the HTC app on the phone because it requires the Sense UI to function correctly. There are alternatives in the market though. Beautiful Widgets is the first that comes to mind.

There is animation on it that can be turned on and off. I'm not sure if it has the full animation with the wiper and such though. It is $2 in the market and there is a 24 hour return policy so you can check it out and get a refund if it doesn't work for you. Another that I just thought of is Weather & Toggle Widgets and it has more or less the same features.

Welcome to the forums, russ.

It's the stock HTC Weather/Clock app.
Me, too - welcome to the forums!

I think the HTC one may give some trouble on the Samsung phone.

Here's part of the exchange from earlier -

Here's the link for Animated Weather -

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mobilityflow.animatedweather.free

They advertise that if you come back and spam us with ads for it, you'll get a free upgrade - and we don't allow that, so please don't.

Also - search the Market for "animated weather" - they may have some new ones that were not available when I posted this - just go to the link above, you can check out Animated Weather and search on that site (box in upper right) for Beautiful Widgets, Weather & Toggle Widgets and more.

Hope this helps!
