Not sure where to post this - so if this is a bad place to put this, just let me know. One of my first posts.

I just bought an Eris last week. Yay!

I am trying to customize my ring tone using the following ring tone...

The site lets you download it to your computer and then email it to your phone or go to the site on your phone and download it.

I have tried both options, however in both cases my phone only lets my preview the sound (hear it), but not actually download it and use it as a ringtone.

What I am missing? (Something obvious I am sure)

zedge has an app that helps you manage your ringtones.
they have over 100 sonar apps
just checked.
but if you could download the file, u can use a file explorer like astro file manager, create a folder called ringtones and put it in there.
at least thats what i remember from memory

I've grabbed a few tones from zedge. Just download it to your PC (I have a folder on my desktop just for tones), mount your phone (still giggle when I say that), and copy it over.

Theres a good, stickied "Tips and Tricks" thread that has details for setting up your phone for custom ringtones.
