Just found a cool digital clock widget called Divi Clock. It looks great and very customizable. It also has different sizes and it uses the stock alarm clock.
Math alarm clock is a good one if you like to hit snooze a lot. It wont let you turn off the alarm till you figure out the math problem thanks to this alarm haven't been late to class since I got it.
Im looking for an alarm clock app that has GOOD alarm functions. The stock one goes on full blast and more or less gives you a chock. The wife has proclemated that she "does not like it!" so I'm looking for a good alarm clock that fades up the alarm signal.

I use alarm clock plus (similar), which locks down the phone completely and makes me solve math problems in the morning while shrieking at me. good thing I'm single...
though, I've woken up hours late to find my eris disassembled on the floor before.
I want one that I can set to trigger when I hook up the charger. At this point it will display a large digital clock (dimmed) of course. I can t hen use this when I travel instead of the one in the room or the extra one I have to take with me.
If you are familiar with the BB STORM, think night mode.

I love this one. I use the Beautiful Widgets clock/weather, and at night when I plug my phone in, I use this. I like how it can gradually increase the alarm, since I'm a super light sleeper and a loud alarm completely freaks me out.

Any suggestions?
When you set the alarm sound, you can adjust its volume using the phone's side volume buttons.
some official text:
You know, there are people who wakes with a smile. I don’t know why they have such a good mood. Maybe they are happy because a new day begins or because they had a good sleep, who knows? Personally, I can’t do that. I really want but… everything annoys me in the mornings. Especially, the alarm clock. That’s why I started form it. First I changed boring signal. It helped but not for a long time. Then I started changing signal every day. It took a long time: I had to find new melodies (that depended on my mood) and kept in mind all the used ones. I.e. each evening I decided how I want to wake up next morning. If I wanted to wake up slowly then I looked for a calm melody. If I knew it would be hard to wake up then I could even use a fire siren! After a while I had a lot of melodies sorted by their type: relax, extreme and so on… And then I thought what if I create a storage on the Internet and mobile apps (clients) would download random signal from it? So... GM Alarm is the client and galarm.net is the storage(unfortunately, I couldn't publish all the music because of it's copyrights[but I'm working on it]. All the music in the storage is distributed under Creative Commons license, but it's really worth listening!).
Each user can create an alarm in the storage. Each alarm consists of greeting (message that will be shown when alarm runs), alarm melody and description (if you want to know what woke you this morning).
Alarms are sorted by languages and categories. Language concerns to greeting text, melody and melody description. Personally, I would combine categories and locales. Server side application ensures that the alarms you get won’t repeat…so each you awakening is unique and absolutely unpredictable!
And the last thing: I decied to add the ability to post messages on Twitter as soon as you press "wake" button. It's a social alarm, isn't it?)))

Release 1.8. is published in Android Market. You can control your alarm clock (snooze or disable the signal) by shaking the phone!!! It's really convenient. This feature has to be enabled in the Preferences. Please, update your app.
I am looking for a clock program w/ widgets that allows the display of multiple time zones and then within each displayed or selected time zoe set an alarm for a specific time in that zone.
For example I am in New York and have a conference call three days from now in London at 12:00. So I have currently have only one choice, adjust the time for New York and set an alarm. Fine, however between the time I set the alarm and the London conference call I traveled to France. Now my alarm is useless.
Now I know I can use reminders in the calendar but that is not always as good as a loud alarm clock...
Best clock + battery + carrier + data connection + date + clock (seconds included, text time also)
check out clock 29 on the android market...
