Default Snes emulator help

So I got the full version of snes emulator for my eris. Does anybody have any suggestions of any games that work well with this phone, since it doesn't have an actual keyboard? I have tried a couple and the controls are horrid...any help would be much appreciated!

Couldn't find a single one. Its a shame really, the snes was such a solid platform. However, until we get multi-touch (fingers crossed 2.x!) this, along with most console emulators, is pretty much worthless imo.

think your right...this stinks! That is the one thing I don't like about the Eris, no actual keyboard!

Any slower paced games should work fine. I've been playing Final Fantasy III fine. It gets a little frustrating sometimes, but since the game isn't timed or about running and quickly pressing buttons, it works great on the Eris.

Yup, my only gripe about the emulators is that you cannot use the onscreen D-pad and onscreen buttons at the same time. So, basically, you cannot run and jump in games. However, as stated, for those slower paced games where that type of control is never required, it works great! Until we have multitouch, it is very limited to what games you can actually play with the NES, SNES, and GBA emulators on the Eris.

I noticed the lack of multi touch in the emulators as well. How is it that the pinch works in the browser for zooming in and out?

with games like Final Fantasy how are you moving your character? Are you using the tracball? I haven't figured this out yet. Im stuck on creating my name and can't navigate to the next screen?? I have the back button set as the a button and the search button as the b button (using Nesoid)..any suggestions as to how to navigate through the game without an actual thumbstick or keyboard?

You may have to press start. To move my character I mainly use the virtual d pad and sometimes the trackball if I feel so inclined.

You guys are crazy ... I played Final Fantasy on SNESoid the other day for at least a hour. No complaints at all. I could see it sucking donkey balls trying to play a fast action game like Street Fighter or something but I cant be happier.

Make sure you take time to set the controls properly.

I set mine up so the two buttons work via the touch screen. I think it is A & X. Then B & Y I assigned to the Search and Go Back buttons. Works excellent. Use virtual D Pad or the scroll ball.

Before I set the bottons like that though it was a total pain in the ass to control.

do you know if there is a way to reset the button layout to default? I can't remember what the default set up was?

Sorry if I sound like an idiot, but can you go into detail about what buttons are assigned to what? I can't get passed the damn title screen!
