Was unemployed for 10 months (thanks cutbacks). Just went back to work a week ago. It's a factory gig but the hours are good and I am less then 3 miles from work. Of course they don't allow phones on the floor and reception is almost non existent.
I also am a former Omnia user. Excellent support forum but the touch screen was really bleh. And once verzion sent me a text saying I could upgrade, I jumped on the deal. The best feature so far is the almost fool proof flashing that is built in. Flashing the Omnia was a real nail biter, but got good at it after the about the 4th flash.
Brand new here, so no one cares I'm sure. But I work for the best FD in the world. I don't really use my phone at all at work. Just check messages and email every few hours at most. I can't carry it around(water/heat/smoke/pranks) you get the gist.
We lived in Prattville, near Montgomery. He bought his suits at a store named "Gents" in the mall in Prattville, and my dad owned a bookstore there. Coach was a friend of our family, so when he would come to town to buy a new suit he would stop by and have dinner with us. I was around 6 or 7, and I remember sneaking out of my room, out the window, then coming into the pantry from the outside so I could peek in. As I said, I would have been a legacy student at 'Bama had I chosen to go. Sometimes I regret the decision.
Man, I had an older roommate, when I was a freshman, that was from Prattville. One hell of a football team.
I never go the chance to look it up, but is your seminary in St. Louis? I havea friend that plans to go there after graduating. Not sure what it's called, but it's seminary.

LOL....My brother is a long time volunteer FF.....and has been chief many times. I've always told him "You run into the burning building, I will wait out here and you can bring me the people." The only exception to that would be if HE needed to be brought out....I might have to go in then.
I disagree 100% with that crappy joke. But at least get it right, it's fireMAN, yes ladies, it's a sexist occupation.
All respect for FDNY but of course a firefighter, exucse me...fireman would say that. And of course NY, why does that not suprise me. Thats why LA EVERYTHING is no.1 We also work together....ahem NY
I work nights at a hospital in the ER as a "Financial Services Rep". Basically deal with insurance and all the paperwork one ER visit requires. We're a small "city" of 50,000 so it's quiet at night.
I love my Eris... use it to stream Pandora at, facebook, show off to my jealous iPhone-toting nurse co-workers, texting, email, google... nothing too serious. Never use it for business. I leave my work at work . I usually get about 2.5 days off one charge.
I am a highschool social studies teacher in Rochester, NY. Try to set a good example for my students by leaving my phone in my pocket during class. Fail, epically
Full-time student. Full-time dad. Full-time system administrator haha.
I'm about to finish up my BS and go for my Master's at SU. I use my Eris for just about everything except work. I had a BB for awhile and found the work EMail everywhere I went to be annoying. I'm not salaried so I don't want to work while I'm at home
Software QA automation engineer and patriarch of a growing family of techies and geeks
Have always had a pda (palm pilot, zaurus, etc.) but the Eris is of course the best! I use it constantly for work, family, study, etc.

Man, everyone on here has legit jobs, making me feel like a total shlub. Anyways, I'm a freshman at The University at Buffalo, majoring in Physics? In my free time I work at a warehouse counting stock. As for use of my phone, at school I'm on it alllllll the time. Mostly just social purposes(text, facebook, twitter, this forum etc...) I mean I need something to keep me busy during lecture right, who pays attention? haha. At work I get poor service so I usually just leave it in my pocket.

It's in Andersonville, GA. It's an independent Baptist Seminary, catering to the folks that have to have correspondence courses. I went for a little while to the Southern Seminary in Louisville, but being raised in the deep south it got too cold for me in Louisville! I've been in Daytona Beach for 15 years, and I LIKE the sun!
