You might try querying the site admin there for the IP address of the person with that user name there. Send that via PM to the site admin here for comparison to users here.
Just a thought, if you want to smoke the person out.
Another approach might be to go into the Lounge area here and post a thread openly asking about it.

There are many user names out there that have more than one person behind them; probably hundreds of "frisco" users.
But yours I have never seen before coming to this site. That does not mean it might not be the legitimate user name of some bloke or lady with interest in that genre (I googled it and the movie names, etc were manifold).
My first suspicion on seeing it, after you pointed it out, was that it was a person with another user name here copying you. But now that seems unlikely.

Just keep the 3.2 display. Don't want a big fat 4.3 hd2 or 3.7 nexus or even 3.5, its a phone, let me fit it in my pocket. Eris/hero/my touch is best form factor
I agree. I laid last night with my headphones in and watched I Am Legend. It was awesome. This is my first smartphone and I'm still in awe of what it can do.

Well, to some of us it is not a "big deal," but this legal stuff is just an interesting (possible) development.
I think I may agree with the spirit of your post; there are a lot of great devices out there. I do like my Eris very much, however lately I've become a little bit disconcerted by the 2.1 leak and by the anxieties expressed over rooting, not to mention the apparent upcoming inability to just keep 1.5 which works great for me on my Eris.
I sometimes get the feeling that I could have done better in my selection of a new device at the time I upgraded from my Samsung Instinct. I could have thought it through a bit longer, and most importantly I could have come to the Eris forums for a look around for a few weeks before making the purchase: I may have changed my mind, but I am not sure of that; it's just that the tone here seems to be that the Eris is not a great phone as is and needs either rooting or an upgrade/update to bring it up to snuff.
Temper all of he above with the fact that I am definitely not a geek type and have little understanding of these devices, only a good understanding of what I need a device to do.

What are you guys talking about? I respect acidbath and OTD and Caddyman very much, but it just looked to me like the poster of the "what's the big deal.." was just expressing his or her opinion and wanting to know why so much about this legal stuff.

I confess to also eye-balling another HTC product: the Touch Pro 2, which gets 4.5 out of 5 stars by user reviews. But it uses (cover your eyes) Windows Mobile 6.1.

I'm just saying that's like being sad that the Ford Taurus got discontinued, its not really that big of a hit. But hey, there's hope, the Ford Taurus was officially discontinued and now look, its back out there making families proud. And besides I have a Mytouch, its like the same phone as the Eris, if it got canceled, oh well, just think of your phone now as a collectors edition. The fact that the posts sway back to the topic at hand says, usually, that it is a dynamic one, that is it's a topic that is out there in the news or at least being bandied about other forums and blogs, etc to it is being discussed here as well.
Seriously though, if this is true, what they will most likely do is drop the Eris, make the Droid $99 BOGO Eris till they are gone or something, and sell the N1 ans Incredible for $250 after rebate.

But if you could get a Droid for the price of an Eris, would you still buy the Eris? They can drop the Eris now because the better Sense UI phones are available now. They have recognized that more people want the Sense UI option and the form factor, plus the better processor, so they are demoting the Droid and removing the Eris to make way for the next Gen.
