I'm going to wait to see how phones handle this leak before I use it. Let us know if you upgrade it and how it goes!

The techie in me really wants to try this. However, I'm just too new to the Android world to attempt this. I'll wait for others to try it first.

What are the possible benefits to this? I'm really not liking the HTC Sense after running GoLauncherEX (unfortunately I've had to remove it because my phone was lagging horribly, still running tests to see if that was it).

I'm downloading it now, but I'm not rooted. Have any issues been shown? And also, would I have to do any sort of wipe/reset?

I have a couple question about this.

1) If I download this and don't like it, can I go back to Froyo?
2) If I download this will I still be able to install the official version when it's released?

I imagine HTC will release the official version for manual update when the time comes so you can go back to stock. As for going back to 2.2, I doubt that you would be able to, but I also doubt that there would be any reason to do so.

there would if you want to root as s-off that alpharev is working on is not set to work with GB. i'm sure eventually they would release something, but that would mean having to wait even longer. idk if GB advantages would be worth it, that's what i'm trying to debate now too haha.

Does anybody know which version of 2.3 this is? 2.3.3 or 2.3.4? If its 2.3.4, I'd be willing to sacrifice root for Skype and Google Talk video chat.

The screen shots on Droid Life show 2.3.3.

I REALLY want to do this, but I don't want to:

1) wipe my data
2) prevent future OTA updates

So, I guess I am stuck. Is a leak a possible indication that the OTA is coming?

Default Well...

It works flawlessly. Its smooth, and handles really well. However, I noticed it is getting warm. Really warm. I am unrooted so I used the RUU.
