Looking for a lock for the dinc2 that is a fingerprint reader, one that really works. I have one on my HP laptop, so I'm wondering if there is one for the phone?
There's a scene in 2012 (the disaster movie) where someone unlocks their cell phone by pressing their finger on the screen - did you by chance watch the film recently? LOL! They can do anything they want in films but (currently) on real phones the screen isn't a scanner. It is perhaps possible that the camera could be used, but I don't know that it has that degree of sensitivity. In any case I haven't seen an alternative screen locking software trying it. Are you going for "coolness" or better security?
How, on Earth, do you expext the screen to read a fingerprint? And why stop at fingerprints, maybe they could implement a DNA unlock. Or a brain scan unlock.

Lol!!!
I saw an app that fakes this randomly...
I forgot the name of it, I will try to find it...
It shows a fingerprint, you press your finger on it, it pretends to scan it and says like print verified, unlocked it also has a fake retinal scanner, that pretends to scan your eye...

How do I "expext"???
I'm sorry, but for a real troll response, you should actually know how to spell words correctly.
In order for the fingerprint unlock to work it would have to be connected to the device via the USB port with some kind of peripheral biometric scanner.
Or the biometric fingerprint scanner would have to be built in to the phone, like just under the corner of the screen on the bezel with a section dedicated to scan.
I guess...

There are phones with a fingerprint reader built in....the Incredible 2 just isn't one of them.
I have no idea how it's supposed to work, and I really didn't care. I was just wondering if there was an app available. Other than the "fake" app, I'm guessing no. thanks all!
The HTC DROID Incredible 2 launched on April 28th and does well enough to follow the original up. It's not going to be a must-have device for those who own and enjoy the original, but folks new to the DROID party who want an HTC phone shouldn... Read More
