Ok, we had the Oct.18/19th 2011 ICS OS Android 4.0 in debut in Hong Kong. Almost 5 months ago... Then the
Dec.15th 2011 Gnex released on VZW.
Google is now working on the next level "jellybean" update & has already picked a name for the next installment... "keylime pie"
Now we have this...
Still no other phone released with ICS in U.S. Or has gotten the official update from a carrier... Well, wait like 6-8 devices tops, asus transformer whatever, moto Xoom...some others...possibly.
No Dinc2 ICS update yet...
Droid incredible 3 on the horizon...
We're running at breakneck speeds here...
Still no new news on the Dinc3 specs and what not...

With the S4!!!...
This Dinc3/4g looks like it is shaping up to be a One S variant...
I hope it Dinc3/4g has removable battery and sd card slot...
Now I am seeing everywhere at once, that the Dinc3 is "confirmed" to have the S4 and run the latest version on hTC sense...4.0...
I'm not too much on the X.
C'mon Dinc3, don't disappoint me!!!
*waiting for fresh pics of it in black!*

Does Motorola still put Blur on their phones? If so, the Fighter is out for me. Right now I'm holding out to read more about the Inc 4G.
Yeah, I agree about Blur. But we'll see what happens with ICS. Maybe, just maybe, they'll leave it alone.
Really want to see a much bigger battery in the Inc 4g than in the Inc2. LTE and a faster processor are going to suck the life out of anything less than a 2400mAh battery pretty quickly.
The Qualcomm Krait based dual core chipset interests me over the incompatible LTE Tegra 3 4+1 core.
I like the idea of SoC.
It's hardware with all the software it needs to run the system on a single chip.
Maybe it won't suck as much battery with this efficient chip on board...
We'll see...
Removable battery is a deal breaker for me...what happens in 6 to 8 months when battery life starts dropping? And it goes dead? Do I have to pay 50+ dollars and shipping to have it replaced in Taiwan? Hope it doesn't get lost or damaged & be without a phone all the while?
Only in another 8 months to have it go out again?

Battery life????? That's the deal breaker for me. For me looking at this phone is like eyeballing an extremely hot chick but having the nagging feeling in the back of your head that she's psycho crazy. But she's smoking hot. Might be crazy. But hot. Worth it? Depends on how many chargers you have laying around I guess.

Battery life *should* be better on this phone than any other current VZW phone with an external LTE radio.
The S4 processor has internal LTE built in on the krait based SoC chip, the first of it's kind...
Hopefully it's way less power hungry and very efficient...
The S4 is also not lacking in the speed department...

Should is the operative word there. I had a DInc and loved it except for the battery life. I moved to the DInc2 which spanked the DInc in the battery department. Then I moved to the Rezound. Battery sucked as bad as the DInc. I couldn't bring myself to go back to being tied to a charger all the time, dropped the Rezound and went back to my DInc2. If I can get a phone that's basically a refreshed version of the DInc2 and it gets similar battery life I am so on board with that.

I'm with G.adams22 on this. I think battery life will be fine. Maybe not quite that of the Inc2, but worlds better than the Rezound. My buddy with the Rezound would trade me for my Inc2 in a NY minute....except that I tell him to go kick rocks when he asks.
This has all the earmarks of the perfect phone. Let's just hope it all works out as planned.....

It does have the earmarks of a perfect phone. No disagreements there. After having bad battery experiences with the Rezound and the DInc, I'm not going out and buying this guy on launch day though.

The HTC DROID Incredible 2 launched on April 28th and does well enough to follow the original up. It's not going to be a must-have device for those who own and enjoy the original, but folks new to the DROID party who want an HTC phone shouldn... Read More
