I like you G, we seem to be on the same page with our interests, and research!
I saw the same thing. My only concern is that the "HTC Nexus" or whatever it will be called, will be like a 6" beast lol. Phones are not getting smaller, they are getting larger .. and it all begins with the Nexus setting the pace, typically i think

Oh, it will.
The drooling was on ATT and Tmobile customers lips when we got the GNex. It's a wicked cycle.

Im pretty pissed off that we are not getting HTC One X. The specs mimic those in my Transformer Prime.
When i heard i could have those specs in a handheld device I began salivating and foaming at my mouth, my hands and limbs began to uncontrollably shiver and shake. My teeth were chattering and i was speaking in tongues like something out of a horror movie.
Then i saw the word "ATT" and i fainted.
I have not done any research since then.

Looks like we will have to wait for the Droid fighter/Dinc3/Fireball...
It might be shown at CTIA in May.
The at&t version is being released without the 4+1 core due to network compatibility issues. It will have the dual core 1.5 s4 snapdragon
Tmobile on the other hand will likely get (rumor) the full on Tegra 3 4+1 core on their HSPA+ network running stock Android 4.0!!!

Right now its all about the One series, to be certain there is something cooking up for Verizon. Just not from the One series. As long as it has specs like the One X I'll be in line.
Non-removable batteries allow for slimmer phones with longer battery life, so it's a trade-off. Haven't completely decided which side of that fence I am on, however.
Sense is too bloated? I loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove since 3.5. (Go ahead and bash me for being a fanboy. I'll own it.)
Edit: No removable battery or SD slot on the HTC One?? Bad, bad, bad times.
Im with you on the Sense 3.5. While im all about being anti-everything, Sense is actually nice and smooth and improves my experience.

WOW this is first im hearing of the non removable battery. That is a BIG deal for me!! Im a power user and a power flasher ... too many issues happen to not have things backed up on SD. CRAP!!! Without an SD ill be sticking to what i have, im afraid.
It would be cool if VZW would drop a hTC One S variant.
This variant is rumored to be the Fighter/Dinc3/Fireball
4.3" Slcd2 (I think?) display 4G LTE world phone w/
Dual core 1.5 GHz S4 processor with LTE chip built in.
I hope it is truly a variant with user replaceable battery and Sd card...
The Dinc2 first surfaced as the Incredible S at the last MWC and we got the variant of that sooooo, we'll see... ;D
What's the big fuss about hTC not using amoled screens, I actually prefer SLCD, *Oh boy, here we go...*
I understand that certain types of screens have each individual pixel giving it's own light, is that what's called pentile? Some use more battery showing the color white...

I fear as Manufacture's strive to make phones thinner we'll see more phones without removable batteries. Apple did it since day 1, then Motorola with the Razr and now HTC.
How is the memory partitioned on a phone with no removable SD card?
How exactly does that work?
What about doing nand backups and clockwork mod restore from SD?

I dont know, but it wouldnt matter to me
Scenario 1: your flashing a ROM and something goes wrong, leaving you at a never ending boot screen. You go to pull the battery but you cant since its non removeable. You read that vol-down and power should force a reboot, but it doesnt. Now what?
Scenario 2: your in the middle of rooting and something goes wrong, perma bricks the phone. So you go to take the SD Card out and put it into your new replacement phone. you would then keep all of your game saves, apps backed up, photos and videos, sms's backed up, etc etc .. but you cant, since theres no SD Card.
Both of those scenarios are more than common, and have both actually happened to me. Which is why im so hesitant to buy a phone with a removable bat or sd card.

Yeah, I tried to ROM a phone last night that started bootlooping. I was stuck and had to do a battery pull and a restore from the SD card. If both of these were unavailable to me, then I'm holding a $200 brick. Woot! Woot!
This might just be the Verizon hTC One X, the Zeta...

Why those Charltons!!!
It didn't match anything on the codename list either, so, yeah.
11 or so of these are already out. This list surfaced in Nov. of '11 for what hTC would initially call their pre-release phones.
HTC device codename list revealed, seems pretty accurate.

"That image was sent into our inbox, and while it does seem a bit strange, especially with the language and links inside the message, we’re told that it is a reliable source which sent the initial email."
Good find on the article!!! No pictures of the Incredible X/4G!!!
Killing me!!!
I want to see it in black.
Looks like lower hardware specs than the One S:
"With the Fireball switching to its retail name of “Incredible 4G,” it should be safe to say that the leaked HTC device we saw pictured a few weeks back is indeed the same device. With an Incredible-esque back plate and a Verizon 4G LTE logo on the boot screen, this is probably your next phone in the Incredible line. What we have to ask now is whether or not this phone will be as underwhelming at launch as it sounded back when it leaked. Previous rumors had it with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a Super AMOLED screen instead of Super LCD, 8MP rear camera, VGA front shooter, and Ice Cream Sandwich. I know that on paper those specs don’t look awful, but after seeing HTC announce the One XL for AT&T with a Snapdragon S4 clocked at 1.5GHz and a Super LCD2 display, they aren’t going to impress anyone. We’ll be crossing our fingers that those rumored specs were wrong and Verizon will surprise us with a similar device to the One series."
YES, Verizon PLEASE surprise me with something similar in specs (exact to, to be exact, in specs of the One S with removable battery and SD card *fingers crossed*) to the One Series, or this will be just another "me too" phone from last year.
Ggrrrrr....
Seems like they will have to give it 1.5GHz S4 Snapdragon processor with LTE chip built in to raise some eyebrows and not generate massive yawns.

Rumor has it that Tmobile will "get the best" so to speak.
They are supposed to get the One X with the Tegra 3 4+1 core (not the processor AT&T is having put in their version of the One X due to Tegra 3 LTE chip incompatibility) processor running stock Android 4.0 & are probably going to brand it as a "G" series phone.
It looks likely that it will happen too.
If you want the best from hTC's new One series,Tmobile looks like the carrier you'll want to jump ship to.
It is also confirmed that they are getting the hTC One S phone model also.

To me the network is more important than the devices, so I'll be sticking with VZW. Also, I think there will be a killer device launched on VZW before too long.
The HTC DROID Incredible 2 launched on April 28th and does well enough to follow the original up. It's not going to be a must-have device for those who own and enjoy the original, but folks new to the DROID party who want an HTC phone shouldn... Read More
