Default Power button stopped working!

I had the Droid Incredible 2 and there were a bunch of issues with it so I used my warranty to get a replacement. They sent me the same kind of phone. I have only had it for about a month and the power button does not work. The only way is to take off the back and press it down hard. Anyone having the same issue? Or have any ideas on how to fix it?

Hello and welcome to the Forums.

This sound like a battery door problem. Can anyone confirm this?

You can bypass using the power button by installing these two apps, it won't fix it but will make using it easier...
I read on here somewhere that someone sprayed compressed air in a can with the straw (keyboard cleaner) in and around the power button and it fixed the problem.

You can use magic locker to use the volume buttons to wake the screen and screen off and lock to touch an on screen icon to lock the screen. This still leaves the problem of power down and restart functionally.

Like I said, This won't fix it but will help...good luck.
