Default Idiot app?

Greetings -
New here and new to Inc2. Love it so far, just a quick question. Does anyone know of an app that can COVER MY HOME SCREEN with an alert if I have any uncleared VMails, texts or perhaps even emails? Apparently these are just too stealthy for me to detect and act on! Hell, my old flip phone had something similar. And, lastly, am I right that there's no easy way to assign separate tones for 1)emails 2) texts and 3) voicemails? As you see, I'm a lowly beginner here, thanks for any intel.

Maybe something like this? Or this? Or maybe this? There are a bunch of apps if you do some looking in the market.

Hopefully one of these will give you the option to make specific notifications for each kind of message because it is not natively supported by our phone.

Texts have a notification sound option. Pretty sure email does too. It's in Settings for the app.

The notification in the upper left hand corner drives me nuts if I don't check it. I guess the phone has me trained.
