When you choose to Reply to messages, choose the Attachment icon, it lets you choose a file from your computer. Also, you can copy the link's location information, using your browser and paste it in a message.

Well, this is how I do it using my computer and web browser. I haven't tried uploading a picture from my phone or tablet.
