I have a hard time justifying $300 for this. For $300 it needs to be a kick ass phone, not one that is good but leaves me lacking.
I agree for $299 it should have been the one X at the very least but who says you need to buy it from VZW? You can probably get this phone from Amazon or a membership warehouse for cheaper. I would love to support corporate stores but dang they make it hard to do so.

I think they do just fine charging us for service.

The size of this phone looks like it is slightly thinner, narrower and taller than the DInc2. That is a good thing if it is going to have a 4" screen.
$300 +,$30 upgrade fee + tax's and stupid fees will push this phone to close to $400.
That wont sell if it even comes out at that price. I would have NO problem sitting on my hands and waiting to buy until the price comes down.
We are however that much closer to release! Yay!

4 inches is a no go for me, but damn...… I seriously hope for the benefit of people still interested that the 299 price is a result of it being a work in progress on the website.
AT&T and Sprint are only charging 199 for the One X and Evo 4G LTE. This should be a 119-129 dollar phone. Especially once you add on the $30 upgrade fee.

Yea with what AT&T and Sprint are charging compared to Big Red my kid brother agree some may jump ship for the lower price. If this is true I may jump ship. Big Red is just being to greedy if true.
Damn, it is a 4" screen after all. So if anyone has an upgrade available to buy this phone, but would rather have a 2 week old Rezound for free, lemme know... seriously.
I'm sure VZW is waiting to roll out the Rezound ICS upgrade until this phone is out... bastards.
I don't know about everybody else, but I kind of wish Incredible4G and TevetronQuark could be un-banned so we can tell them how much they suck at life, now that we have some real info.

I LOVE the 4" screen size. The $300 price tag is way too stiff for me though. I still need to know if it does wireless charging, what the battery life is like and if it's got a swappable battery.

+1 I'm out too.
I think all of you people who want a 4" screen have never used a 4.3" screen phone. It's a pretty nice difference and the phone is definitely not "too big" at 4.3" or even a little bigger.
Looks like I'm going to wait out for the Droid Razr HD (Fighter). Hopefully, that's not more than a month away.

I've used both a 4" screen and a 4.3" screen. That .3" makes a difference. On the 4.3" screen I can't reach my thumb across the screen to the top corner. In the two weeks I used the 4.3" phone as my daily driver I found I constantly had to shift it up and down in my hand in order to reach stuff on the screen. With the 4" I don't have that problem nearly as much. The phone is noticeably bigger at 4.3" IMO.
Just wondering, will there be good developer support for this phone since the Rezound is out?
If it was cheaper than it probably would have. No one is going to buy this phone at 300$, maybe when the price drops. Lets hope that page was incorrect and as someone said earlier, just using the Razr Maxx template.

Eh, I mean I don't notice the difference of the 4.3" screen too much anymore. I'm sure I wouldn't have an issue going back down to the 4" screen, but I've been using a 3.1" Droid Pro for the last 1.5 years. I don't do a damn thing on my phone that requires a huge screen, I'd just rather have the more compact phone, and that's exactly what the Inc4G is.

The price just has to be wrong, I can't see a good reason at all for the phone being $299. If Verizon was smart they would announce the phone soon with the actual price since every where I have looked I see people complaining about the phone being over priced. Either way I look at it I plan on getting this phone, even if I have to order it from elsewhere like amazon to get a better price

I left the Droid X because the 4.3" was just too big.. In my hands it felt more like a device than a phone, and even though I wear relatively loose fitting jeans, it was a pain in the arse whenever I had to tie my shoelaces..
I went to the Incredible 2 and 4" is the perfect size. But YMMV... thankfully for me, 4" is the sweetspot.

Just speaking for myself, but this is a totally false statement. I did go and get the Rezound back when it came out. I have the Org Inc. I had the Rezound for about 3 days before I took it back. Hated it! Size sucks, it was a big huge weight in your pocket, holding it like I do my Inc I could not reach my thumb across the screen to the upper opposite corner without repositioning the phone in my hand. Anybody that want's a 4.3" screen device has numerous phones to pick from. Why do you need another?

Yes,I agree with this template thing, when they said they clicked buy now on it it took them to the razr maxx page, is not the razr maxx 299 currently? They were only using the template to mock it up...
299 is the wrong price for this...
Here's the black stealth design I have been waiting for!
Now that looks clean!!!

Maybe Verizon is just putting something out there to see what the reaction is on the price to know where to price this phone to get it to sell? Just saying...
I'll go by the price when it is actually listed for sale on the Verizon website. Won't worry about it much till then. I plan to buy it off contract anyway, so I could careless about the contract price.
My Dinc1 still holds up well and I don't see a need for a $300 phone. If anything I'll wait on reviews first.
That's kind of where i'm at. My dinc1 is holding up fine, it has some minor annoyances, but its good enough that i feel like i can wait until a device reaches 'gotta have it' status before i fork out $300.

Same here, even running an ICS rom as a daily driver for the past three weeks.
Here's hoping the price is inaccurate. Just pulled out my receipt for my Original Incredible which was $199.99 + tax and from what I can find on searches the Incredible 2 was as well.

Same boat here, but I will go check it out when it comes out. If I like it then I may pick it up. No way for $300 on contract though... Forget it!!

If the reviews are good, I may get it off contract. My upgrade isn't until Jan '13 and my orig Dinc is starting to show its age. That being said, it will certainly last me until Jan if the Dinc 4G doesn't pan out.
Btw, I too believe that a 4" screen is the sweet spot. 4.3 is just too big for a phone IMHO.
11 pages later and I'm still sitting here hitting F5 over and over again all day long waiting for this phone to get released. I had the original Dinc and stupidly went to the Razr. The Razr is cool (thinness), but otherwise, is too big for me. I can't even unlock the thing one-handed. I'm excited for a 4" screen. I think that'll be perfect for me. Granted, I can't make a decision until I have it in my hand and then maybe, just maybe, I can get rid of my Moto (amazingly, I really miss Sense).

I thought of this too. I really think it's just an unfinished page with the Droid Razr Maxx page used as a template.
I think it'll likely be priced at 179$ at most.

Looks like Verizon's front page is showing the Motorola Droid RaZR for $99 as a mother's day special. Presumably, it will be that price until Mother's Day? I am tempted, now that we know the Inc4G's specs, to get the RaZR. I really wanted the 4.3 screen and $199 price. My new every two is not up until June 9th, so I've got some time to make a decision. Waiting may cost me in the end, though.
Anyone think this phone could be announced tomorrow, or over the next few days? It's clear they have have nearly all the promotional stuff done for it.
I also think they might announce it very soon because people are getting turned off by that 299$ price point.

BLAH!!!
might count me out on this one. really wanted a 4.3" screen.
4.3 will give me the same dimensions as my commando. doesn't feel bad in my hands or pocket.
might wait and see what the fighter will feel like in my hands if it ever comes out. hopefully that $100 coupon i got will still be valid then.
There are lots of options for a 4.3 screen. There will be many more.
There are very few with smaller screens that don't also have crippled hardware (which kinda makes sense, because there's less room to put stuff behind a smaller screen.
I'm glad those of use who want a 4" at least get an option now.

I'm wondering about the lack of mention of NFC - seems it coulda or shoulda been in the ad if the phone was going to have it. I seem to remember the previous inclusion of was based on a screenshot that listed it as an option. That gives me hope that it'll be real, and just not yet listed in the ad copy.

Hoping for an announcement tomorrow, otherwise it's very doubtful for a release on the 26th. I've never held a 4" phone, my fiancée has a bionic which is 4.3" and it seems a bit big in the hand so 4" should hit the sweet spot.

That ad was very vague and lacked a ton of information. NFC would he a cool feature to have, everything that I've read about it is intriguing
I actually had another phone on order and as soon as I saw the droiddoes page this morning I promptly cancelled it. I want this phone! I don't think it'll be $299, because that button brought you to the Razr Maxx page. I've been bitching lately that all the nicer phones tend to be 4.3" or above. I remember when 4.3" seemed huge, but now many people proclaim it to be the sweet spot. 4.7" is the new 4.3". So, I am super excited for a phone with specs like this having a 4" screen. I've been checking online all day hoping we'd hear something but I assume it's coming (an announcement at least) in the next few days... I hope.
