Default Bye HTC.

DONE.

I'm done waiting for a now outdated phone.

I'll stick with my current phone until the next Google Nexus phone running Jelly Bean.

Lord knows with Verizon and HTC, this phone will never see an official update to it.

Off to order a Nexus 7 tablet instead.

Bye HTC, it was fun.

If the Fireball/Droid Incredible 4g had come out in January, or February, or March...it would have been spectacular.

But now the landscape has changed. It's months late, people turn over phones every 9 months now. HTC is notoriously slow with new releases, we all know that, and so is Verizon. Google is now committed to certain devices to avoid continued fragmentation.

The HTC DI4 will never see jelly bean, kettle corn, lolipop or any other android version.

And while I'm on my soapbox, the smartphone is going the way of the PDA and the iPod.
You heard it here first.

There is no doubt in my mind that Inc 4G will have Jelly bean at some point.

Its a shame I won't own the phone.

I think Apple screwed up the whole landscape of PDAs and "smartphones." I liked how there was a segment of phones designed for people who needed to be productive. Now they have just become big time wasters and distractions, as well as a source for some really annoying habits. But here I am going along with it, ha! Still wondering if I should return my preordered S3 (when it comes) for this phone or not. Oh and PDAs and iPods (mp3 players) haven't really died. They just evolved into the phone of today. Ok, who's up next on the soap box?

And smartphones of today will evolve to tablets as media consumption devices, with cloud access, reasonable sized screens, and integrated Bluetooth earpieces and eye pieces. Google Nexus 8, Google glass, Nexus Q and the Apple equivalent.

The overloaded undersized smartphones days are numbered. The home stereo and entertainment system is next.

But first I need a beer.
