Do people know that VZW allows you to change your plan retroactive to the first day of your billing cycle? That means you can adjust your data plan on the last day of the month retroactive to the beginning of your cycle and never pay for data you didn't use or for overage charges. You do not need to pick a data plan now for every month going forward, You can pick later based on what you actually used.
The Share Everything plans started the 6/28 before that this was a pretty well advertised change so I'm surprised so many people don't know this along with the $30 upgrade fee.
This is for ANY phone upgrade not just this phone. If you want to keep your unlimited data plan you would have to pay FULL price for any phone you are wanting to upgrade to.
All upgrades are now charged a $30 upgrade fee as well.
The new share everything plans come with unlimited talk and text. They also no longer charge extra for tethering. I went with the 2GB limit because I don't use more then 1GB a month and I will actually save $40 a month compared to my old plan. Additionally you can always upgrade your plan in the middle of the cycle if you see you might go over and then lower it at the next cycle if you are not going to go over.
Wow, I had no idea. Unfortunately I use quite a bit more data than most due to music apps. I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer for an upgrade
Are there any other android supported mobile companies that offer unlimited data? Stuff like this makes me want to jump ship already.
Ordered new 4g3. $119. No insurance. Keeping old calling plan. Got to keep UNLIMITED DATA!!! Please be worth the effort. Arrives Tuesday. Or Wednesday. Good thing my og incredible is still AWESOME.

I've owned the original Incredible and a Bionic, my Girlfriend and Daughter both have Incredible 2's and a co-worker has a Rezound. I'm also the go to tech guy for phone setup, etc. in my company so I get to see lots of phones pass by me.
First, I have to say that the Bionic was the biggest piece of junk I've ever had. Poor quality, Wifi to 3G to 4G switching was terrible. Never was solved. Hated the 4.3" screen, felt too big and bulky. Battery life was terrible without the extended battery which made the phone a brick. I swear i'll never buy another motorola phone again after that experience. Luckily, I signed up for only a year so I was able to get out of it really quickly.
My original D-Inc was a great phone with the exception of the battery life. In fact, I kept it for a spare in case I had a problem with my Bionic so I re-used it for the last 2 weeks before my contract was up. The Bionic became unuseable. The D-Inc. was great, even did some software updating after not being used for a year and became faster with some better battery life so I was pleasantly pleased. I held out for the D-Inc 4G because I think HTC makes a great phone. I was right.
I use the phone mostly for talking, but I do use it to surf when I need to, texting and mostly e-mail. I don't download a ton of Apps. I use Dropbox a lot for photo's, files etc. and use it as a Sonos controller. I have to say, the phone is fantastic, speedy and not battery hungry. Like most, I charge my battery when I go to bed at night and I've yet to have a problem with battery life throughout the day. The size is fantastic and would NEVER consider an SG3 simply because of that screen. I'm a business man, I don't need to be showing YouTube videos to my friends like my kids do. I understand that there is a phone for everyone's needs, but this one works perfectly for me. It hasn't randomly re-booted once, the Sense 4.0 coupled with ICS is flawless. Screen transitions are nice and seamless and , dare I say, acts more like an IPhone. Images are crisper, I love the new 4 x 1 weather/clock widget (coming from the original D-Inc where the default was a 4 x 2 and you had to create or download an App to get you enough to make your own 4 x 1). The 4 x 1 doesn't take up too much space on the screen and doesn't feel "heavy" like the 4 x 2. I like the new favorites folder where I can put in the Apps I use just once in awhile instead of having them strewn across multiple screens. My only complaint still is that your HTC favorites people list widget works great, but you can't change the order of the people, they're alphabetical. That was the only thing I miss about the Motorola version. I've had some Bluetooth crackling from a shorter distance away from the phone than I'd like but I can live with it. It boots fast and I never turn off any services (4G or otherwise) to conserve battery life. All in all, it's a great phone and does what I need it to do, RELIABLY, which is what we all want

I'be got the Rezound and have changed the order of my favorites. The Rezound is on Sense 3.5 so not sure it the same with 4.0 as I don't have an Inc4g yet. But the way I was able to change it was:
1. Navigate to the Favorites group page.

5. Repeat for each you want to change order.

I know there was a bit of a learning curve with each HTC phone and it's version of Sense that I've used (started with the version of Sense on the Inc1, went to Sense 2.0 & 2.1 on the Tbolt & Inc2, then to Sense 3.5 on the Rezound). So if you're coming from the original Incredible and going straight to Sense 4.0 on the Inc4G, I can imagine it was a bit of culture shock. Glad I could help.

I bought my wife's HTC Inc 4g from a Verizon Corp store for $499 and it is a great phone. It has been a blessing to be able to compare it in real world use next to my SGS3 that i preordered. Even though i like the size of hers better i'll be sticking to SGS3. The multi-tasking is a huge annoyance in regular everday use, i get faster LTE speeds in the same location, my battery seems to last about 25% longer (and i'm normally a heavier user than she is), and I love having all this space especially since you can't load apps on your SD card anymore. I'm packing 96 gb (32 internal + 64 card) while she has 24 gb (8 internal + 16 card).
It's still an excellent phone, but for me, it's the SECOND best phone on Verizon

So what real world examples are you talking about with multitasking that is a real annoyance? Just curious, because this is the first post I've seen on this Inc 4G forum that it has been an issue with anybody...

I can't say that it's a huge annoyance to me, but it is pretty clear that Sense 4.0 is extremely aggressive in killing apps. The one that does annoy me slightly is the browser. You can't bounce back and forth from the browser to another app without the webpage having to reload. Generally that's not an issue, but for webpages that require a login, it can be a bit of a pain. It's also true for some games. Your progress isn't always saved if you bounce out of the game to check your email, for instance.
Again, not a huge deal, but noticeable.

There are definitely a few things that need to be corrected fairly quickly with a software update. But since this is a VZW phone, I am sure no update is imminent. Besides the over-aggressive task killing, HTC needs to eliminate the on-screen menu button, and re-purpose the task switcher button to menu, with long press to task switcher. That's really my biggest gripe.
Had this device for 24hrs now. I like it. It's a little frustrating because I want it to be like the og, but it is not. It's a major step ahead, so I need to be patient and walk my way through it. Reception at home is improved. Call quality is a bit better than the og, even though the dbm's are higher. Probably an LTE thing. Very surprised to be getting 4g signal where I regularly would pull 1x. It will switch to 3g also, but I'm satisfied to know it will improve in the near future.
Camera and video are top notch. Takes pictures fast as you can click the shutter. Great quality too.
Screen is as good as any I've seen. Pleases my eyes.
Battery life seems good, but I'll judge that after a couple weeks.
It is a bit more complex when browsing the internet, but the more I use it the better I like it.
The contacts format is awesome to behold. Going to take me awhile to grasp it all but really feel confident that I made the right move with my purchase for me.

Me too. And we are not alone. Read quite a few different posts about it. I believe that it's the overly aggressive app management of sense 4.0 at work shutting down sense to allow more ram to run whatever applications we are using at that time. I do think it will be addressed sometime in the future though thru an update. At least I hope so. I am enjoying this device immensely, quirks and all. Nice upgrade.
Well I broke down and did it. I was in the store playing with this phone today. I reviewed my data usage and use 1/5th of a 2Gig plan\month. This phone was getting a 4G signal and my Inc2 was getting not even 3G.. 1X only..!! Hoping this 4G gets better coverage up in northern WI then this Inc2 or I will take this phone back. But I just ordered it on-line so I get the instant rebate. Can't wait to get it, have been following it since the first post on this thread. Looking forward to joining you all with an actual phone in my hand. Should get it Tues-Wed... :-)

I finally got mine today and all I can say is For anybody not wanting a 4.3" phone or bigger but wants the upgrade hardware and Android OS. This phone rocks! It is the perfect size, awesome form factor, it's fast as heck... I am sure I will come across a few bugs, but right now my biggest decision is to get a zag screen protector or not.

i love this phone... it reminds me of my original incredible but much better and 4G of course... i do have a few complainants but nothing big enough for me to pass on this phone... the things i hate about this phone are that annoying wifi icon in notification bar i cant get rid of, 4g drops easy compared to my rezound which holds 4g and yes my area is a 4g network, friend stream is no longer available, no news widget and theres is no dedicated menu button but other than that i love this phone.... this phone is faster than my old phone htc rezound and is more convenient... i always hated the bulkiness of my old phone...and my incredible has the newest sense which looks cool and the battery life is a little better also...
