Default Unknown Notification Icon

Hi,

I have searched long and hard to find out what this icon means... and I've come up with nothing. It is in the notification bar of my HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE. Any information would be highly highly appreciated.

The icon looks like a split letter N along a white square background.

Thanks!

Used your Image link to do a reverse image search. The logo is for NFC which stands for Near Field Communication. Here is a wiki about NFC. I would assume that there is a setting somewhere in your settings menu to turn it off or on!

ETA: Here are instructions for enabling and disabling NFC for your device.

Thank you so much! Glad to find this forum so helpful =)

I had tried tineye.com to do a reverse image search, but the image was not sufficient for them. Just tried Google's new reverse image search and indeed it helped.

Many many thanks, looking forward to being around the forum!

No problem! Glad I could help.

Yes I have had better luck with google image search than tineye as well. I have given up on tineye.

Glad to have you here! See you around
