Yup. If enough people honestly say they don't have it, I might take mine back...but then again I spent so much time getting into recovery for root. lol
I voted 'yes' but thats not really accurate. When I press on the battery cover on the right side it pushes in slightly. However it doesn't make a noise so I actually wouldn't say that it squeaks.
Overall not a very significant issue for me though.

I didn't have it before I used the Seidio. My Seidio battery was obnoxiously tight, in fact when I first got it I decided it didn't fit but after 2-3 tries I got it to pop into place.
Not many votes yet.. But I am surprised 6 yes and we have never seen a thread about this before. I have stock battery and I am like pushing really hard on the sides trying to do everything to get some weird noise to come out of it.. nothing.
Was really shocked you said this had a bad build quality too.. This has to be one of the more solid phones I have ever owned.. I don't feel like I have to baby the hell out of it just so something does not break (Looking at you Pre Plus).

Yes mine makes noises if I push in on the sides of the back cover. I think because the back cover is so flimsy and flexible, that is the reason why it creeks. Not a problem at all for me as I am using a VZW black hardshell case.
I also noticed that under normal handling, there is no problem at all with it creeking. I really have to squeeze pretty hard for it to make any noise.
Other than the back cover, this thing is built like a tank ! The tradeoff is worth it to me to have such a slim phone.
Mine did and I seem to have found a simple fix. Take a business card and cut it in half. Place over the battery and put the back cover back on. Phone stops creaking and even feels more solid. Mine wasn't that bad, but enough to annoy me.

Ya mine does, but it doesn't really bug me anymore. I think it's probably due to taking the back off often. It never did when I first got the phone. I'll probably get the HTC 1500mah battery soon and I've heard that can help because it's slightly thicker than the 1300mah.

Mine does not squeak.
Is there anyone with the squeak who has only ever used the stock 1300mAH battery (the red one that comes with the phone)?
I ask because, based on a couple of the comments, I wonder if this is due to using one of the replacement batteries then going back to the stock battery.
I just got the HTC 1500mAH and it's a tad bit thicker than the stock 1300mAH. If the Seidio 1750mAH is also a little thicker, then perhaps the battery cover is being bent ever so slightly by the larger battery. Then when you put the thinner 1300mAH back in the cover doesn't fit quite right.
I haven't put the 1300mAH back in yet and don't have it at work with me, so I can't test this theory.

Its not that it makes the phone work harder. Im wondering if the card will trap heat, not allowing the phone to dissipate heat as efficiently.
I was thinking this as well. I didn't block a lot of the phone. The battery can get very hot. I was going to check tomorrow to see how it's doing and I've been monitoring the battery temp.
mine squeeks. probably because i take the cover off on every other day to change my battery. but i have a case too, so the squeeking is not a big deal for me.
Cool. My Incredible has been creaking and squeaking a ton the past few weeks. I couldn't even touch it anywhere without the back cover making loud noises. The business card trick works great. No more sounds at all.
And it's funny too because now the phone feels just a bit heavier. A business card only weighs so little but I definitely notice the phone feeling a slight bit heavier, which isn't a bad thing.
Mine makes creaking/squeaking sound or did. I put a few super super small pieces of duct tape ( we're talking a few mm by a few mm ) on the inside of the battery door on the radius along the bottom. Makes zero sound now.
It's a plastic battery door so i'm not surprised it makes sounds on many phones. The tape trick works and it's on the inside of the batt cover so I don't see it unless i take the battery door off and even then i don't really notice it, only a few millimeters
lol...this is why I love this forum...mine was making noise but I'm not the type that usually complains so I thought I would search the forums and see if anyone else was having this problem...and sure enough some ppl are, and provided such an easy fix...the business card trick works sure enough...that's awesome.

That's what I was trying to get at.
Confirmed.
I put my stock battery back in today and, sure enough, noticed the sides of my phone were squeaking. I popped the 1500 back in and it stopped immediately.

that is so hilarious. now i know why i have never even heard of this squeaking...i've never had the original 1300 battery. only the 2150 and the 1500 i am currently using. wow...squeaking. that is just weird right there, htc.
