To answer some of your questions:

1. Yes, this is my first post. I browse a lot of these forums but not real big on posting stuff all the time cuz I don't have a lot time on my hands. But came across something on my phone that have not seen on the internet blogs and stuff yet. Therefore I wanted to share.

2. Yes, I got this HTC Incredible from a friend from HTC so therefore its a demo/test device which looks different from the VZW HTC Incredible.

3. I'll upload a sample of the 720p video camera for all to see.

4. I'll try to answer you guys questions as much as possible.

DIBS on his phone

How's that for quick?

EDIT: Ok I should write more.

So tell us about it, take some pictures of differences, is the home screen the same? any difference to the browser, etc? Anything different about sense in general?

aaaaaaand is it a lot quicker? We're supposed to see a huge increase in phone speed, I wonder if it's noticable.

Way to be a team player! Finding out inch is getting 720p almost makes me feel skiddish about switching to the X. Almost

Yes, it came OTA on June 28th, if I remember correctly it was about 22.5 MB and required a WIFI connection to do the update.

Sample to come. (Busy at work)

I don't see why htc doesn't just announce this hd-update is coming and take back those consumers thinking of switching to the droid x. Let em sit on the dinc and wait

Got the gt500 kit, put on black gt fender badges, pony v6 side emblem in the grille, black panel on the back to cover the gas cap area (says GT supercharged on it), gt500 wing, black 20" saleen authentic wheels, 15% tint, vht tail lights, and a few performance mods . Lots of pics if you're interested. Making about 440 to the wheels.

And to stay somewhat on topic, my Incredible matches the cars color scheme cause I obviously like red/black

damn, your car is nice! 440 to the wheels ain't shabby, haha. be careful though, the stock bottom end on the 4.6 3v can only take about 450rw. she'll last at the 440, but someday you may drop a rod or two. i am working on a 1900 supercharger kit right now actually for the 4.6 3v. gonna push 400-420rw. anywho, to stay on topic, pm me with links to your pictures, i wanna see your baby

on topic now (sorry all)...

i wonder how long it takes to roll an update to the masses after its been tested internally? if that guy got it on the 28th, i wonder if we will see it in a couple weeks. i may have to unroot if htc is actually gonna push these updates quickly. i hope 2.2 is next. then again if we get some good stable custom roms (or if i can ever figure out how to cook my own) i'll stay rooted...

Why do you have to be that guy? Who cares its just information..you have to ruin it and trying to scare the guy from giving us info? If you work for HTC dont be a snitch and nobody will get in trouble. Information for people is not a bad thing, there is no reason to keep everything a secret like Apple.

Nice keychain! Do want!

Oh, oh, yeah, about the phone.... I wish they'd have kept the hTc branding up at the top instead of putting the vzw logo on it. Looks better IMO.

It will be awesome to wake up one of these mornings and see a new update notification sitting there on the phone... I'll prolly bust a nut from the excitement! -------------

Default Guys it's coming-720p, 3g Hot spot and Boot Animation

Guys, there's has been talk about an upgrade for the Dinc...

Kellex at Droid Life just posted this info and one of the persons that got the update as a tester post a video of the Dinc boot animation which includes of course the Dinc's eyes.

DROID Incredible to Receive OTA Update Adding 720p and Mobile Hotspot - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog

So, if this holds to be true, can we say that the Dinc it's the hottest thing since slice bread, just saying.

Froyo+720p+3G hot spot= win

Ohhh... that makes me happy! If they are already sending it out to the test users I guess it should be coming soon! Or at least sooner than the estimated Sept date that I kept seeing.

I'll merge this with that thread since your link includes a boot animation that isn't in that thread.

Funny how the new boot animation has the word "AMOLED 3.7" on it. Seems like something they might have wanted to change considering the screen change coming.

Good questions. Why do people have to be like that? I am sure he isn't representing the companies stance. If HTC is so petty that they would fire someone for something as silly as this, I would never buy another HTC product again. Some people just seem to have this need to feel special and be "in the know." It is often displayed by chest puffing and feather ruffling. I hope that isn't the case here.

Thanks to the OP for the info. Pretty exciting knowing what is coming.

How is a article that apparently refers solely to THIS VERY thread legitimize anything?

If I was the public relations director for HTC, I would have released this information myself. The device reputation has taken a beating recently, and this is great timing for this update, so why not release inside information ahead of the formal announcement.

Anyone wonder if this release of inside information wasn't intentional? If it wasn't a corporate decision, they should promote the dude who released it. This information has come at the perfect time with X on the way to release and lead times over 4 weeks.

Just my thought.

Where are all the trolls that said I was full of shit? Its kinda cool seeing news sites quote a thread I started.

Thanks really goes to my friend on the inside. That person leaks me info all the time. He actually is getting his DInc tomorrow. (chose it after playing with the X for orientation on the device)
