I bet Apple knows this phone is coming, thus the lawsuit.
Sigmund; I'm starting to think that this phone, much more so than the N1, is what struck the fear of God in them and prompted their response. Stevie Hand-Job and Apple are going to be in for a rude awakening.
Yes, is anyone keeping score of the specs NKT has given us on the device so far? It would be nice to have them listed in one concise post after all has been said and done. Thanks!
Have you ever checked the very first post?

I hear ya! But I think waiting a bit...maybe see the front of the phone before making that judgment. I remember the Eris has a very nice feel in the hand...and so it sounds like this will be similar. From what people are saying here...it's just as well to get a spare Seidio battery and use it as the primary...and have the OEM for back up. Can't argue on updates...and really don't want to argue. I just think things got much closer. And don't forget the Incredible will have an FM Tuner...kind of neat in way...I think? Ha!
Edit: Oh...and the Incredible will be sold and serviced by Verizon! Bam!
I left out the whole sold by verizon thing, because I don't know if anyone here really knows if they'll sell the nexus one or not.
Does it take better low light pictures than the droid. My wife has a droid and is probably the only thing I hate about the phone that and the physical keyboard. I just want my next phone to be able to take good pictures indoors and out. Thanks NKT...
(Personal request: lets keep the flaming low, collaboration high, attitudes checked at the door, and minds open!)

No, I had not, but thanks for referring it to me as it appears what you had listed originally was spot-on. Amazing to think we had ad nauseam debates of this spec and that only to find you had it right all along. Great job, my man! I'd buy you a beer and give you a pat on the back if I could, but NKT stole all my Bud Light.
So we now we have new information in the N1 vs. Incredible battle
Incredible:
8 MP camera
HTC Sense UI
Optical Trackpad
N1:
Better looking phone (at least in my Opinion)
Faster Stock Processor
Bigger Battery
Faster To recieve updates
Decisions, Decisions
I think that a big difference maker is going to be buying from Google or buying from Verizon. While I think that Verizon's customer service is somewhere south of dog poop, but I have heard that Google also has been difficult to deal with as well, on top of the fact that Google will have the fallback option of blaming Verizon for issues.
In honor of the 100th page of this great thread I hereby dub the core thread participants...The Incredibles.
Space is limited so stake your claims now!
Do you or anyone out there think there will be a marketing tie-in with the movie characters by Verizon in conjunction with HTC? I, for one, think it would be hysterical and a great way to generate excitement for the phone with the masses.
Now if the weight is what NKT is saying, "Lighter than the droid and N1" then you are looking a nice sized phone with around 4.5 oz weight, this is EXACTLY what I want. Awesome!
Any official weight specs NKT? Other than the hands on test? Thanks a lot man!
I've been a lurker for awhile but given the new pictures today I finally decided to join. Can't wait to get this phone. I've wanted an Android phone for awhile now. I wanted a powerful phone but didn't like the Droid. I loved the Eris but wanted something more powerful. I think I have finally found my device.
Anyone know if the posted information and photos of the Incedible here by our own NKT has found its way to BGR, Engadget or any of the other esteemed technology news outlets yet? If it hasn't I suspect it will soon.

I can see a commercial for it now: Mr. Incredible sitting at home with his kids bickering and wife on his case to intervene then he gets a call on his brand new Incredible that some bad guy is causing trouble. The camera pans out to show the whole family have little black masks on just like in the end of the movie

I haven't really given this much thought...i guess there could be, but that specific movie was very much geared towards kids. I also don't know that the HTC codename (Incredible) will persist for launch. I could see VZW calling this the "Droid Next" or something, who knows...
Device(s): Evo (comming soon!)
Pixi Plus (verizon - data only for wifi hotspot)
BB Curve (Sprint)
Incredible

I certainly would not tell my customers anything that would make them reconsider their interest in my products. I would do everything possible to reassure them that everything was just peachy.
I have a Dare too waiting for N1 or Incredible....I remember when the dare leaks were coming out on howardforums..i was like WHOOOAAA now not so much hahaha can't wait for these two phones to come out already.

Perhaps NKT can confirm if the name "Incredible" is referenced anywhere on the sample he has?

I know, hence why I wrote, "they wouldn't tell me if they were concerned"
It was re-assuring because they didn't say something like,' No comment on the lawsuits at this time." They at least awknowledged the lawsuits, were dealing with them, and had nothing to report and planned NO delays". Was enough to please me.
You are not gonna notice much of a difference between 768 and 1ghz anyway. I would rather have the better battery life.
And, no doubt, all the Verizon customization we saw in the specs (VZW Sense UI, etc.) has probably been optimized for a 768MHz processor. I'm not an electrical engineer, but I'd bet most people would not be able to notice much of a difference in terms of speed between Incredible and Desire running next to each other. This phone is going to rock.
NKT, I'm sorry if you said it elsewhere, but how did the Incredible run compared to the N1?
And I was gonna take a break today and actually put in a good days work after my complete major mental breakdown against Rosend yesterday....Thank goodness I'm an addict for the INCREDIBLE!....
Thats what I am using too. I like it but it is time for an upgrade to something Dare we say Incredible
Im glad im not the only one who is stuck with a Dare with the screen always freezing up on me and what not im so tired of this come on bad ass android phones come to me!!!! im ready for my long overdue upgrade!!!!
Wow. This is just amazing. You came through big time NKT! I have only one question. Was the verizon branding on the front of the unit you saw? I'll feel better about the time to launch if that's the case. Thanks again man. You have been this forum's defibrillator!

It was pointed out, that if you blow up the picture that shows the back cover off the phone, you can see the Verizon logo on the bottom right of the back cover.
