To build a little more on what Nash said, I'm wondering if the Bravo is still on the horizon? The picture of this phone doesn't look much like the leaked pictures we saw of the Bravo a couple of weeks ago.
I read somewhere today that the Incredible will be about a $100 less than the Nexus One and to me it seems like this may be a less expensive cousin to the Bravo. So far, there's no word on the processor or screen size, but as kmoore 11 mentioned in his post #82 above, the phone looks tall compared to its width. It seems too skinny to me to be a 3.7" screen. Most of the reports are saying the Incredible might have a 3.5" screen and some are reporting a 850MHz processor. If that's true, I have a hard time believing this is the Bravo that we've been waiting for.

Can you please give us the link to where you read this? I haven't seen anything about pricing. Thanks!

Although I am a much bigger fan of the Bravo's looks, I might be able to come around to this phone. However, at the moment, I am for the Nexus One because of sheer looks. We'll have to wait and see. At least I can see this one in stores.

clb,
Thanks for asking me to prove this. I've been back through my FireFox history for today, but I can't find where I read about the price difference. I've been reading so much lately, that I could be confused, but I'll continue to look. In the meantime, I'll have to retract my statement about the Incredible being $100 less than the Nexus.
I don't want to get everyone alarmed about this. As I was going back over the history and reading the reports, I did find a lot of conflicting information. Some are saying that the Incredible is the Bravo and some are reporting a 3.7" screen, others the 3.5" screen. Some are reporting a 1GHz Snapdragon and others the 850MHz. Some are not reporting the CPU at all, because no one knows for sure. Hopefully we'll get more specific data and official information from Barcelona next week.
Incredible looks like the Bravo with capacitive buttons to me from the front.
I think you need to look at these different phones as having interchangeable parts like if you build your own PC. One phone may have a different cpu, so they have different drivers loaded in the OS for that. Another might have a different radio/antenna (think NIC card) , different drivers for that. Different buttons (keyboard drivers). Screen difference (monitor drivers). The outside shell is just a molded case, everything else they can swap in and out without a huge deal. Once everything is finalized they just make adjustments to the assemble phase as needed.
The only part we see is the aesthetics and we make a big deal about it, but it probably isn't a huge deal for them to make changes when google or verizon is making big orders for their needs.
Take a close look here. Do those look like pretty much the same phone to you? They honestly don't remotely resemble each other, to me. I think, if anything, the Incredible kinda looks like the iPhone. I think the Bravo resembles the Nexus One MUCH more than the Incredible. As far as form factor and aesthetics go anyways.
Edit: By the way, I think this comparison picture all but confirms that the screen size for the Incredible is 3.7". Look at the size of the fingers on the hand in both shots. I think these two phones are fairly the same size, but the Incredible has more real estate above and below and has less rounded corners than the Bravo. So, I'm going to go ahead and say 3.7" screen is a go!

Thanks for the pic Nash. It's looking like a 3.6" screen now. Assuming the proportions are close.
They have a 3.6" coming out in china soon. otherwise i would have debunked the 3.6 idea.

I agree with you and with Nash. These are not the same phone and that's what I said earlier. As far as the size, the Incredible on the left is smaller in width like kmoore11 mentioned in his post above. Based on these two pictures, I'd say the Incredible is 3.5" or a 3.6" screen at best.
My preference would be the Bravo on the right. The Bravo may still be in the works. I think it's a better looking phone and probably more powerful than the Incredible.
Also because there are always glitches and things and if you don't have physical buttons, the phone will lock up on you.
I had the Storm2 for about 2 days before I had to return it. Whenever the phone went into sleep mode, the four main buttons wouldn't respond for the longest time making the phone non usable until it woke up on its own.
At least with physical buttons, you can quickly hit the end key and be back in business.
Here is another version of the same picture. The red lines are the edges of the screen. From this view, the screens look the same size, to me. What do you guys think? The picture of the Bravo was so dark that you couldn't see where the edge of the screen was, so that's why I did this new view. Now we can compare the screen sizes better. I'm saying 3.7", for sure. Because we know that the Bravo is 3.7" from the official HTC Roadmap. Thoughts?

I see shaved off corners and different button types. The rest is just very minor changes. Might be a big deal to you, but I think Bravo and Incredible are no where as pretty (optical pad aside) as their N1 cousin.
I edited the picture a little better. Take a look at this one. I squared everything up a bit and I had the Bravo too big. NOW take a look.
New Picture
Believe it or not, when I superimpose the phones on top of each other like they are in this picture, inside Photoshop, the red lines all line up and are the same size. So, if you could see it on my computer inside Photoshop, you guys I'm sure would all probably come to the same conclusion as me. Same size screen. The pictures are just kinda creating an optical illusion.

Nash, when I use my measuring tool and measure the red boxes, I read 227px X 378px on the left and 235px X 378px on the right. If you have those two photos proportioned exactly, the one on the left isn't as wide.
To my eye, the Incredible is probably 3.5" or maybe 3.6", but we don't have to argue about it, as the specs will be released soon.
I wanted to jump in and say that according to Photoshop the two phones have the exact same screen size. I took the two phones and placed one on top of the other. Using the HTC logo, I aligned the position and scale of each image to ensure a perfect match of the HTC logo. Once the logos were perfectly on top of one another I used grid-lines to map the edges of the screen. The grid lines match the screen edges perfectly (aside from the very minor distortion from the phones not being shot perfectly straight on). I have made this image to show you the results with the images side by side.

Oh yeah, there's nothing to argue about anyways. We're just having a friendly discussion. Not a big deal. Just theories. And yeah, I'm sure my proportions aren't right on. Plus, it's hard since the pictures aren't taken straight on. So yeah, the Incredible is either 3.6 or 3.7" screen. Either way, we're in for a treat. Good discussions though. At least it gives us something to talk about, instead of being bored. haha

You're right, now that you re-sized them, they measure the same. Not sure how scientific this is, but I'll play along.

Yeah, I did a resize that kept the proportions in tact each time. So, the proportions are just like the original pictures. So, if they measure the same, that means the resolutions and screen size must be the same. Good deal. I think we can pretty much set this one aside as 3.7".
Now that we have screen size settled (thanks guys!), I'm just looking forward to more information, especially a release date. I hope they announce this phone on the 16th and a release shortly after, but that's just wishful thinking for me.

someone mentioned they where thinking there might be a comercial during the super bowl (which we all know there wasnt) what do you think about them maybe having a comercial durring march madness??? lots of people placeing bets lots of games going on tons of viewers? i dont know just a thought
He resized based on matching the logo, not the screen size. The screen size came out the same independantly.
You're just dying to have this screen be 3.5" aren't you?
I also brought Nash's first photo into Photoshop and measured it in that program this time and they were the same. Still not sure how scientific it is, but I'll go along, because I want to be 3.7" (if this is the US version of the Bravo).

There was a commercial during the Superbowl - Motorola Devour, featuring Megan Fox in a bubble bath... maybe you didn't notice the phone?
Looking at all 3... I'd definitely put the Bravo first, and the Nexus a close second. The Bravo is just absolutely sexy. And it has those physical buttons I love. The Incredible though... is just really iPhone-ish. I wish the Bravo would come to Verizon, but it looks like I'll be stuck with one of the others...
Nice side-by-side-by-side, Nash. Looking at the three, the Incredible is definitely last in my order of preference, and a bit distant. The square design is just a bit "off" to me. I definitely like the Nexus One tops of all three, but the Bravo is a close second. Too bad that phone doesn't seem to have a destiny with CDMA. Will just have to wait and see what comes of all this.
The HTC Nexus One comes in with a VERY HIGH SAR (radiation level)... and since the bravo/passion/incredible are pretty much the same phone then one should be concerned that they will also carry a HIGH radiation level!
Personally and professionally, I'm not concerned with non-ionizing radiation.
that screen looks huge, i say 3.7. i wish it was more wide than long, but that's minor. please please please be released in march alongside the devour.
Thats what I think. Looks pretty big. Maybe if we're lucky if we get a 4.3
Just wondering what people are thinking about the time frame between the post on DroidDeveloper and now that we have had the image leaks. That post was on 1.15 and the leaks on 2.7.
Legend is only 3.2 and a 600mhz processor. I suppose the difference with the Incredible is in the back and they just extended the front from the legend.

Thats the Legend's specs. Again I might be wrong and hopefully am. But the two just look too damn similar. Maybe Verizon and Sprint just like the design of the Legend and asked for a bigger model. But unless thats a super duper camera its too large for the screen to be as big as the N1.
I hope I'm wrong. But the Incredible is just looking too much like the Legend. Paint the bottom black and what do you get?
I completely agree. The Legend and Incredible are identical, except for color and screen size, as well as processor speed and some other specs.
Also, I'll chime in on my preference in the three, based on looks. Bravo first, Nexus second and Incredible last. I agree, the Incredible looks like the iPhone. However, if it's what we get, it's what we get. I will get over the look of it in a couple of weeks regardless. It's really what's inside that ultimately will effect my experience with the phone in the long term. The looks will be old news after the initial "newness" of the phone wears off. So, as far as specs go, the Incredible can compete with the rest of them, and I happen to personally think that what we've heard on the RAM so far is not official and could very well be wrong. I think the Incredible will trump the Nexus, specs wise, but just in a few areas possibly. Maybe the Incredible will look a lot different in it's production unit look. Regardless though, I'm sure actually holding the phone is a completely different experience than seeing a crappy video and some camera phone pictures of it.
