Agreed, 100%. Theres no way VZW would release a phone in lieu of the impending N1 release AND dub it "Incredible" without stuffing it with at least 512mb. Basic thinking about differentiating an inventory (from Eris), competition from other carriers (AT&T w/ Desire), and even inter-carrier (N1) says it needs 512mb ram.

Also, the guy on the video who filmed the Incredible said the phone was "really fast." I know the snapdragon's got something to do with that but ram is a huge part as well. I mean, any Eris (256mb ram) owner will confirm the phone bogs down with a bunch of apps running.

I agree as well. Can't see putting a 1 gig processor, HD recording and so on with out having similar specs to the Desire, or N1

Wifi, yes. I don't believe I've seen anything about the Incredible being a world phone, or having a sim slot. But ya never know till there's an official release...

Here's what I think:

Bravo = Desire
PC36100 = Supersonic (since all of the PC36100 pictures I found were taken by the person who had some Sprint stuff in their pictures)
ADR6300 = Incredible

Both the Incredible and Supersonic will have a camera over 5 MP. As for release date. God I hope soon.

Yes, two are the Sprint Hero and Touch pro 2. Both HTC phones. If I'm, as well of others, am right and the person is a HTC tester that wouldn't be out of whack.

ADR is the prefix for Verizon SKU's, it is not a model number prefix for HTC.

Bravo, ACR6300, and PC36100 are all device names on flickr. i.e. when a picture is taken by these devices it's embedded within the jpeg's exif data what device took the picture. As mentioned earlier these were the 3 device names that I found on flickr today. I couldn't however find a Desire.

Ok so I'm just trying to track some of these pictures taken by the PC36100.

IMAG0039.jpg on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

That picture is of the Sprint Center and QuikTrip. They are together in Kansas City, MO, confirmed here.

IMAG0001.jpg on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

That photo is the entrance of Centennial Farms, which is in Augusta, MO. This is confirmed here.

IMAG0076 on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

This photo is of a Sprint store, with a street number of 1652. There is a Sprint store in Delray Beach, FL, confirmed here.

Unfortunately, I can't put together the significance of these places. Maybe someone else knows....?

Just think if we put our efforts into something productive.

Also it's 1562 in the picture and 1652 for the FL Sprint Store Address

Not to be negative or anything guys, but I just found this link...

BlackBerry Tour 2 9650 Found In Verizon Inventory System | BlackBerry-Soft.com

It says the Blackberry Tour 2 was found in Verizon's system and the date is January 1, 2010. The Tour 2 has yet to be released. I also believe the Devour was found in the system around the 22nd of January, and that has a March 15th release? So we may have another 2 months of waiting. Like I said, I have no clue at all, just going based on those two findings.

I thought i would comment on the RAM speculations and make some educated guesses. I think there are 2 ways that companies/providers are measuring the ram. Some measure just system memory and some measure system + CPU memory. I would imagine the N1 and Desire both have 512 system but HTC added in the 64 on the snapdragon to = 576. I would also assume the Eris is 256 on board plus 32 on the CPU = 288, though i am not familiar with the Eris CPU specs.

So looking at it that way the Incredible in the worst scenario would have 256+64 = 320MB RAM. Although i expect 512+64.

Again, this is all assumptions on my part, if someone knows more about these specs i will retract my statement.

Default Incredible screen size

Not to beat a dead horse, but after looking at several pics of the incredible again tonight, I believe the screen is one of two sizes.

It most likely will be a 3.5" skinny format something like the Eris, or a narrow 4.3" screen, (not likely). It just doesn't seem to look like the Desire as far as the relationship of the width to the height...

If it comes out with a 3.5", I will be dissapointed. It doesn't make sense that they would shoot themselves in the foot like that?

Default March 7th...

... there's that date again. Only this time it's the confirmed release date for AT&T's very first Android phone, the Motorola Backflip. Wouldn't it be nice for Verizon to come along and make this date simply "Incredible" for them?

AT&T To Welcome Android OS On March 7th, Motorola Backflip First Candidate

Isn't the Devour supposed to come out on the 25th (TOMORROW) or is that just from Best Buy?

That's a Best Buy exclusive I believe. I think I read it is being released by Verizon on the 15th. I could be wrong though.

its like all other things, it varies. The Storm 2 was spotted in inventory on Sept 27th and launched Oct 28. The Eris was found in the system Sept 1 and launched about a month later on Nov 6th.
http://blackberrysync.com/2009/09/blackberry-storm-2-9550-makes-it-way-into-verizon-inventory-system/

http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2009/09/01/android-powered-htc-desire-6200-has-verizon-in-its-sights/

Also the issue with the Tour 2 appear to be at RIM and not Verizon.

This is really digging, but the very top of the visible text on this photo say FM radio, so hopefully this will be an included feature with the incredible.

The more that leaks, the more reason for Verizon or HTC to stop being hush, hush.

I think it's a bull you're beating. There won't be a 'skinny' 3.5 or "Narrow" 4..3. It will be 3.7" the most popular - probably the most widely, massed produced size screen right now. The bad photos and angles tell you about the same thing as the 256 MB's RAM.

I apologize in advance if this question has been asked and answered before (I searched just in case, to no avail).

With all the talk of what the RAM might be in the Incredible and comparing that to some of the phones that have recently been released and are on their way:

The Nexus One has 512 MB RAM, but also 512 MB Flash. I pretty much understand the role of RAM, but what does Flash memory relate to, and is this a level you anticipate will be the same in the Incredible as well?

TIA

Ok guys, this is pretty big. According to the aforementioned site, the word came down that the HTC Droid Eris has gone "End Of Life" (EOL), effective today. While there are still Eris phones in the pipeline - a lot of them - new sales of them to Verizon has ceased. This is key for the Incredible's release, as you can guess.

That is big news indeed. Crackberry.com posted about a few blackberry devices that are EOL along with a screen shot that shows other EOL devices in the VZW system. (see here: Verizon Gets Ready to Bid Farewell to Storm 9530, Curve 8330, 8830 and Pearl Flip 8230?! | CrackBerry.com ) I didn't see the Eris though.

Has anyone pointed out that the supersonic and the incredible have eerily similar styles. Notice the Ear Piece Mesh.

Once again I'm putting out the prediction that the flickr ADR6300 device is Verizon's incredible with a 6.4 MP camera, and the PC36100 device is the supersonic with 6.4 MP camera. And the Incredible will be more comparable to the supersonic than desire or nexus one.

This is big news. A while back (3 or 4 weeks ago), I saw the ADR6300 on the BT web site and wasn't sure what it was, so naturally I googled it. The only hits were Asian character blogs that were very poorly translated through google. I don't have a link, but I distinctly remember one of them claiming that the ADR6300 was the much more powerful follow-up for the Eris on VZW. At the time I dismissed it as speculation, but this certainly lends some credibility to that claim.

I've said it! But I've also hoped that the look of the Incredible would be more like that of the Desire. I was told when I made this comment previously that the Incredible may indeed come out looking more like the HD2. I don't know my bu&& from a hole in the ground but it the Supersonic and Incredible sure look alike to me!

I'm totally loving the rumors that are flying today!

I've never said they looked similar, but certainly thought it. It kinda makes you wonder. I'm really hoping all this detective work continues to reveal big things. I wanna get rid of my VX6900 (Touch). And once I do, I'll use that leaked Desire ROM on it and put Android 2.1 on an ancient handset. BWAHAHAHAHA!

It is where the Big 12 basketball tournament is going to be this year.

looks like I-35, you can see a KS liscense plate on the Maxima when looking at the pic in large resolution.

This person is/was undoubtedly in Kansas City/Overland Park and working for Sprint. And they went to Ruth's Chris on the Plaza...best Kobe ever

I agree. Both of the phone fronts look similar!

Don't you mean a dead bull I'm beating,

You probably are right because anyone can inadvetrtantly squeeze a picture to make an object appear more narrow than it actually is. I only brought it up because if this phone is a tall 3.5" in the same form factor like the Eris, (not same resolution), I would be very dissapointed.

Either way, we'll find out soon enough...

That's cool. Thanks. Do you know who sent out that tweet I couldn't find it in here?

I think that would be bad news. The Eris wasn't a "performance" devices. It was more of a low end phone to get on the cheap. Unless the Devour is going to replace it (HTC wouldn't be happy) I would guess that may mean the Incredible is more Legend then Desire. The only good think is that would make my decision for this or the N1 easier.

From the picture investigation yesterday, it was determined that the camera on the Incredible is > 5MP, and there was another device which seemed to use the same camera (PC36100). The person who took these pictures appeared to be a sprint employee. This and the similarity in styles between the leaked supersonic and Incredible photos leads me to believe that the Incredible and Supersonic are their next tier above the current N1/Desire/Bravo devices.

I know that the PC36100 isn't the Legend, because I found pictures tagged with "Taken With a HTC Legend" on Flickr as well.

Maybe not so. Perhaps because the Droid was more popular, and because of the droid coming down in price, perhaps that is now the "budget" device. It definitely can no longer be the "performance" device with a snapdragon device coming on board.

It's all good. Devour=new Eris. Incredible=new Droid.
