If someone knows how to grab a frame off that Incredible video where the sticker in the upper right is clear I can ask my friend who is from Taiwan to translate it. Just curious what it says.
You realise of course it probably translate to "Only a stupid westerner would believe this video" right?
...And here is the interesting part: When I asked him how I'd be able to get my hands on the N1 when it was "officially announced" he said that Id be able to come in and get it through the store... Does this mean Google might switch distribution channels?
Interesting you mention that, I was at the VZW store yesterday dealing with another matter and inquired about "any new phones from HTC". One of the people behind the counter (who seemed to be in charge back there) mentioned that they knew N1 was coming soon but that was all. And then she said that they would have them in the store. When I questioned her with the "I thought you could only buy through Google like the T-Mobile model" She laughed and said, "We're *not* T-Mobile."
Take it for what it's worth - she probably doesn't know much more than we do here but a girl can hope, right?

Thats the same kinda thing going around AT&T for their Nexus One entry. I know the major driving force for Tmobile to get involved the way they did with the N1 was to drive up their subscriber base at a all risk/all reward approach for Google. Verizon doesn't need a massive subscriber influx and so perhaps wants a piece of the action. But we shall see.

I have heard this enough times now that I am starting to believe it. A Nexus One with carrier support would be phenomenal. That pretty much would put the proverbial nail in the coffin for the Incredible (for me).

It would also give credence to the same day launch idea, Droid+Droid Eris redux.

Wow, If both were released, I wouldn't know what to choose. Will the CDMA Nexus One's specs be the same as the TMobile Nexus One's specs?

I would imagine the only change would be for the better. Perhaps Verizon gets the Nexus One Plus. The only real difference is the radio and a chip that would technically be capable of also working on GSM networks. Though that seems not to be an active ability for the Verizon N1.

So now it's fine to discuss a google phone. You are a real piece of work.
Note to everyone: Verizon staff don't know nearly as much as we do, and will guess to make things look better. In other words, they aren't super nerds and they are bias.
When I took my mom into VZW to look at phones they immediately spotted her iPhone and said that they should show her some Droids and that the iPhone was last decades news.

Actually there were correct. There's been nothing new to the Iphone since it launched, which was in the past decade. Didn't the Droid take some wins over the Iphone this year? You can very much say Android is this decades new right now and be right.

Dude, sorry....That was my fault! Right now. in my mind, these two phone are hard to separate. I wish I could look at the real specs for each side by side. Or at least if they changed the Incredible's RAM and back red plate.

I totally agree! Android is ages ahead of the iPhone.
Mykpfsu - Thanks for not taking the bait ...
Its interesting that the N1 might be supported in store -
Would VZW even need to introduce the Incredible @ the same time?
Also remember that the picture resolution we saw for the ADR6300 was greater than 5MP so if for some reason you want more than 5MP for you phone, you may want to go Incredible over Nexus One. Hopefully they will both come out at the same time, and sites like phandroid, engadget, and phonearena can do a Incredible vs. N1 review so we can find which device does what better.
Right now, I'd say I'd take the N1 over the Incredible because of:
1. Looks, the N1 is a sexy device, Incredible is a little blocky for my taste.
2. I'd guess that the N1 will get updates almost immediately since it's google's phone, and it's google's OS. Quick updates are more important to me than a few eye candy details.
3. I don't really want the extra overhead of Sense over stock Android to put any unnecessary toll on the processor.
4. I don't think picture resolution over 5MP is really needed.
Of course this is based on VZW offering the N1 in stores alongside the Incredible. If it's sold only through Google, I'd for sure take Incredible over N1.

Well it could be that the Droid and Eris were launched the same day because it was Verizon's big jump into Android. Everyone says that the N1 will be introduced at CTIA. But why? Its not a new phone and the idea of Verizon getting it is not new. Its always simply been a waiting game. Wouldn't it make more sense to introduce the Incredible as that is the new phone and might be the first 2.1 Sense device to the market? That makes more of a splash then go "Oh hey, we finally got that shipment of Nexus Ones in". So for CTIA I'll go either Incredible or both but not the N1 solo.
Yea, the phone being sold over by google only is a real hassle. You don't get to try the phone out or anything and get a real good feel for it, though i hear the Nexus One feels great.
The Incredible has things that the Nexus One might not though. Like the rumored DivX and Xvid support and like HD movies and stuff. From rumors, the HTC Incredible is supposed to be an all around better multimedia player than all the other Android phones out there. Improving upon a lot of things like the stock music player etc...If the Incredible really does come with things like DivX and stuff, count me in. All the better.
But if i hear that the phone will be releasing with 256mb of ram like some of the test devices have, im going with the Nexus One no matter what. Unless it's some kind of super ram that makes it perform exceptionally well, the same as 512mb ram or even better hehehe
have you guys read the news on some confirmation on the n1 maybe coming march 23rd so maybe the incredible hopefully earlier or same day. You would think earlier since its already showing in the invetory. take a look for your self Verizon Nexus One on March 23rd? | PhoneNews.com
Hmmm, that's an interesting point about the Incredible already being in VZW's inventory. Could mean that it will be released earlier or could mean that the N1 won't be sold through VZW stores since it hasn't shown up in the inventory list. Or...could mean that it's in the inventory and it hasn't been leaked yet

Okay so i was just wondering about CTIA and last springs crop of new phones. I didnt find anything on Verizon announceing any new phones at last years spring CTIA. I was also looking up speakers for this years CTIA and I dont see anything from Verizon or HTC. What are the chances you think that we may not hear anything again this year?

In any case, I do believe that it's a foregone conclusion that Verizon will at least launch the N1 at that time or before. But - stranger things have happened!

Do they actually have to launch it as a speaker at CTIA? Wasn't the N1 launched as a Google press conference? Couldn't Verizon just arrange their own press conference at the event?

Verizon could do a press conference... but i dont see anything for them doing a conference at this show nor do i see HTC or Google having one. International CTIA WIRELESS 2010
I do see Verizon and HTC both have booths but that doenst mean they will announce something new. The Company I work for goes to 100's of electronic shows and tech shows around the world each year for the HD decoders and HD calibration equipment we make. We don't announce new thing at everyone. I dont see them just setting there new phones in there booth without some announcement to make. I really hope they do have the Incredible there with specs because everything I have seen and heard about it makes me want it for my next phone.

Better yet - why not draw crowds and attention at CTIA to actually promote something that you've just launched very recently? What a concept! ...lol

maybe it's just too early to announce that they'll have a press conference, since they always like to be in sneaky ninja mode. maybe they'll announce a week before CTIA about a possible press conference. well that's just my wishful thinking.

I have been doing a little more digging. I did find out what times HTC and other cell companys are going to be talking about the next generation of smart phones and other things, when Verizon and other cell providers are going to talk about bandwith issues and emerging devices and other items.
Time: Mar. 23, 2010 from 2:30 PM to 3:45 PM Location: Las Vegas Convention Center − Room N 120
where they talk about HTC and other manufacturers
The World Is Wide Open
Time: Mar. 23, 2010 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM Location: Las Vegas Convention Center - Room N 112
This is where it mentions Verizon and other Cell providers
also found something on Google. where they are going to talk about mobile conectivity
To those of you who haven't yet seen this link, The Incredible is officially on Verizon's list of "upcoming phones!" To those who have already have seen this, please file it under "The Department of Redundancy Department."
That was primarily for the benefit of those who hadn't seen much about it in print. And I had prefaced it with the title of "...from www.phonearena.com...."

All this website does is take rumors and put it on there website. I do have to agree I really like this site because they do a great job of keeping up with all the rumors and updating the phones when they are released and what they think of the phone. They pretty much state that they are just working off rumors.

This has been said before in this thread, but I also wonder if the Incredible is released with no HD video enabled, if this is a hardware or software issue? I tend to agreee with others and think it would be enabled through a SW update later.

So if the Incredible is Desires twin, then maybe we will see HD video support...The Incredible does have duel LED and what looks to be a beefier camera lens, so I'm hoping for the best
Device(s): HTC DESIRE, no, HTC PASSION, no, HTC BRAVO, no, NEXUS ONE, nope, HTC INCREDIBLE, wait, HTC DESIRE,no

I think those chances are real good! I've learned not to get hopes up for these events. I think we'll hear at some random time, which could be good or bad.

Well, atleast its about to be MARCH! Only 4 more weeks.
well actually if you look i did find out that they do have a speaker but it seams like not a whole bunch of time so i dont know how they would do it all. so there is still hope they will announce something i was just going threw an emotional rollercoaster i have been wanting this phone for far too long and with me seeing that they didnt really release anything last year and not seeing any press confrences at first i was starting to feel a little down. check out post 2081

Maybe Verizon doesnt have any speakers listed because they will actually be presenting from another location via Skype? Thus, the speakers arent actually attending CTIA.
If the N1 and Incredible were launching the same day, dont you think we would have seen some kind of N1Incred launch kit in the inventory system by now? Two power-house phones launching on the same day are definitely deserving enough for some kind of joint marketing idea. I think this would be especially true if the N1 would end up being sold in VZW stores.
At this point, after following the Incredible for months, I dont think I could bring myself to buy the N1 just because it came out first when I know the Incredible is launching right around the corner.

The Incredible dummy kit is already in the inventory system. Are launch kits listed there?

On one hand the ADR6300 in the Verizon inventory gives me the hope of a release soon, but the Confidentiality cutoff of August 1st for the PB31200 device in the FCC which we believe to be the Incredible leads me to believe it won't be launched till at least May or June.
The Nexus One device had an FCC submission after the Incredible and has a confidentiality cutoff of April 30th.

Keep in mind that Verizon thinks of the general populace. Would someone who doesn't comb the blogs for info actually be able to tell the difference between the Eris and Droid beyond physical setup and Sense UI? Most likely no. hence to the average person the difference between the N1 and Incredible are the same as the Droid and Eris.

I think even the most uninformed user would notice the presence or lack there of a HW keyboard and would likely be a deciding point for many. I don't think there's enough difference between the Inc. and N1 for most to be able to differentiate.
