Food for thought: Often, phones debut online some time beFORE they make it into the store.. calculate it out..... that would put availability online in or about mid-April...

Oh. I guess I thought it didn't matter, that it was a function of the 2.1.

Don't know much, I just pick up and dial, browser, Swype, and stuff. Sorry

Yeah, and time flies when you're having fun. Or is it, time's fun when you're having flies?

True, but it only says that a phone launches. They could just be preparing for the fact people will have questions about the Nexus One, even if it's not sold in stores.

I do not need to see this phone in hand, before I buy it, as I feel as if the phone and I are on a first-name basis, already. I have studied it for months! So, if it comes out online early, I'm getting it.

I wasn't trying to be harsh, just informative. Definitely no sorry needed. It seems that input functionality (keyboard, voice, etc.) is handled differently in Sense UI. Hopefully the voice input will be enabled through an update.

But the interesting picture is the one that says "new android handset" to be released on the 28th. I hope the incredible comes before that so lets hope this is the nexus one or someting else. I don't know if I can wait that long.
The 28th would be great! My NE2 is on the 29th.

Talking

i dunno - all I know is I start my new job Monday and that will help keep time flying like crazy with excitement!

yes i know excited for work is an insane idea but when you haven't worked for a long time you'd be excited to get back into the workforce as well.

What's nice is i'd have monday and tuesday off - plenty of time to run to verizon to get the nice phone

I have used multiple search terms to try and find the post on this thread where someone was mentioning that there was a Verizon phone set to hit this month at Best Buy for $600, to no avail. Does anyone remember the date that she said it was slated to be released?

There was no info on the device whatsoever besides its price...no mention of the OS, manufacturer, etc.

I just had a thought. With all this information we have leaking out to the internet, we put our lives in danger!! VZ is going to get their "boyz" on us and work us over. I'm thinking of going into the Forumite protection plan. I think I'll change my name from Steven58 to something exotic...like...say Steven59. What do you think?

It was to be delivered on the 25th, which could mean a release date of the 28th

You know its going to be aggravating for that week that the samsung reality comes out and verizon is advertising it as a great phone knowing that they will have the incredible in another week.

They will probably already be advertising the incredible though like they did the droid as one of the earlier posters said

25th, no? Doh! I'm late, like a seventeen year old girl the month after prom.

I try not to get overly excited with this stuff, but as stated before this actually would make a bit of sense.

10th year anniversary surprise would help explain at least a bit of the secretive shroud surrounding the phone.

And (again already stated) this would help promote a good marketing stand. It would be the Big Grand "10th anniversary Bang".

Of course, monday will probably come and go but.....

ok.. I'm having a heart attack... I am watching the review of the htc legend and the Android Central reviewer (phil) says that the HTC mail program does NOT handle gmail??? :O

OMG... How do I use gmail with my new incredible then? This is bad. Very bad. I run my business off of gmail.

Use the google mail program that comes stocked with the android OS. You don't need the HTC mail program.

I am an excitable person. I guess you couldn't tell. I tend to hide my feelings.

Thanks for the pics lajboys! Please don't give too much detail about how you got them though, wouldn't want you to risk your wife's job!

While I'd rather have the phone before the 28th, I'd really just like to have a release date! I think knowing there is a light at the end of the tunnel will make waiting seem less aggravating. Right now it's just endless waiting...

I hope you are right and we don't have to wait until the 28th, but I would just like to have a concrete release date.

Here's a few links of interest to help you get the most out of your rooted phone.
