It specifically says an android phone. There's no other android phone due out for Verizon other than the Incredible and nexus. Nexus is online only. Leaving only the incredible.
True, but it only says that a phone launches. They could just be preparing for the fact people will have questions about the Nexus One, even if it's not sold in stores.

I do not need to see this phone in hand, before I buy it, as I feel as if the phone and I are on a first-name basis, already. I have studied it for months! So, if it comes out online early, I'm getting it.

Some are saying worldphone, some are saying Skype mobile. some are saying Flash 10.1, some are saying sold in Verizon stored. Whatever it is, I doubt it will ever be able to get me to cheat on the Incredible!

I wasn't trying to be harsh, just informative. Definitely no sorry needed. It seems that input functionality (keyboard, voice, etc.) is handled differently in Sense UI. Hopefully the voice input will be enabled through an update.
As I stated in my first post, my wife cleans our local verizon store. Tonight I went with her again and posted up on their calendar board was a calendar for April with important dates. I have attached three pictures. In one you will see the weekly list of things to come. In the other you will you see the samsung phone coming out on the 21st. But the interesting picture is the one that says "new android handset" to be released on the 28th. I hope the incredible comes before that so lets hope this is the nexus one or someting else. I don't know if I can wait that long.

I have used multiple search terms to try and find the post on this thread where someone was mentioning that there was a Verizon phone set to hit this month at Best Buy for $600, to no avail. Does anyone remember the date that she said it was slated to be released?
There was no info on the device whatsoever besides its price...no mention of the OS, manufacturer, etc.
I just had a thought. With all this information we have leaking out to the internet, we put our lives in danger!! VZ is going to get their "boyz" on us and work us over. I'm thinking of going into the Forumite protection plan. I think I'll change my name from Steven58 to something exotic...like...say Steven59. What do you think?

You know its going to be aggravating for that week that the samsung reality comes out and verizon is advertising it as a great phone knowing that they will have the incredible in another week.
They will probably already be advertising the incredible though like they did the droid as one of the earlier posters said

Use the google mail program that comes stocked with the android OS. You don't need the HTC mail program.

ok.. I'm having a heart attack... I am watching the review of the htc legend and the Android Central reviewer (phil) says that the HTC mail program does NOT handle gmail??? :O

While I'd rather have the phone before the 28th, I'd really just like to have a release date! I think knowing there is a light at the end of the tunnel will make waiting seem less aggravating. Right now it's just endless waiting...

Well, rooting your phone allows you to have administrator access to your phone and thus due thing not normally possible on standard android. With it you can have all your apps and caches run from your SD card, apply themes, tether your phone, enable auto rotation and the list goes on.
