i just talked to a lady at the local verizon and she didn't know anything pretty much. but she kind of sounded like the nexus one was more up in the air than the incredible due to apple's whole lawsuit thing.
Junk up the thread more with useless posts. If people didn't post whatever was on their mind there wouldn't be tons of people posting the same links over and over and asking the same questions.
It would make it a lot easier for people to follow and keep up and keep it on topic.

What's your point? We all know the the Desire is the Brave, adn the whole Passion project evolved into all these phones. Plus, I'm sure you saw how in those documents HTC called the Bravo "The Incredible' about three times.
That means that if the incredible can't come in, neither can the N1.
i immediately thought that too but thats what she implied.if it is true that the incredibles are ready to be shipped to stores and the N1s arent then it could make sense i guess. if the N1s are hung up somewhere. maybe?? or she just didn't know shi#
The good news is he misread his insurance....he would only be entitled to "the phone of his choice" if the droid is no longer available....which it will be for a longgggggg time.
I did miss read it. I thought you would get the same phone you already had untill I went into the store to get my phone repaired and they informed me that with the best buy (not verizon) insurance you get a 599 instore credit towards any phone. This is because the best buy plan doesn't use refurb phones so they don't care which you get.
Also the only reason I would do this is because I have bedn screwed over so many times on phone insurance. I would not do this with home or car. The last insurance I had ended up being completely useless and costing me 500 for a new phone even though I was supposedly covered.

Just posted a new thread (with link) about additional filings by Apple now seeking a ban on anymore shipments of HTC phones into the USA. Unless posted earlier (which I did not see) this sucks in a major way!

Steve B. Jobs just needs to get over the fact that they did not invent all things cool. Then he needs to drive his car into something solid.

i know that as well, you don't have to pick apart every little thing. this is just what i was told by the lady i talked to. i grasping for answers here
But I thought this was discussed earlier and that the reason it wasn't included on the Desire was that it was primarily released overseas and they were concerned that since Google Voice was US only and the voice to text would have to deal with a lot of different accents so they disabled it altogether. I'm hoping that's not the case on the Incredible.

But if that's true, that's CRAZY that they wouldn't include native support in SenseUI for Gmail on a Google based phone.

P.S we dont have anything like that on our calander
I kind of wondered the same thing. But I realize it could be taken either way (more than one new phone or an addition to their existing lineup).

That simply means that we all need bigger pockets!
ok so i just accidentally clicked on AF mobile on the quick style chooser on the bottom of the page, and now everything's in mobile format...HOW DO I CHANGE IT BACK?? help please..
I would think that they would only put released phones, or maybe ones that are least announced. They aren't going to put on their website a phone that hasn't even been announced yet.
The Google Phone Nexus 1 is not listed and it is out on T-Mobile.
It is very good news, and very confident sounding, but I believe HTC was quoted on this before these latest filings to ban their phones. I read that same quote days ago even though the link makes it sound as if it was yesterday. In any event, if Apple pushes the import ban issue until the ITC makes a decision, then it's a big waiting game for everybody.

every bit of bad news pushes me closer to getting the "temporary droid" and selling it when the incredible comes out. when i get my mind set on something i am extremely impatient and have a one track mind. maybe a little bit of droid would give me a fix until i can get the good stuff.

Isn't it funny? Back in the day phones were huge bricks you would have to walk around with. I remember a Nokia I had for Sprint PCS. Pure digital. This was when PCS was gaining ground as analog was becoming obsolete. Then in 2000 phones started getting tinier (Remember Zoolander?). Now, we're getting bigger.
Rubberband effect?
I have been lurking on this thread for a very long time. Let me start by saying that normally i quickly get bored with Forums, and threads really quick, and I usually do not follow a thread but instead I normally search through google for the tidbidts that i am looking for. I came across this thread, and for the fist time i have kept coming back and lurking to see what would happen next.
This thread has almost reminded me of the soaps that i was forced to watch years ago by my older sister. things that happened like...Who has brain cancer now, and then cured, who was arrested on bogus charges and then paroled (MM and Kappy) . Who was the crazy character always ready with a laugh (Steven58). Who was the evil person you always hated(Verizon's tight lippedness). The sexy tease (Incredible). Ok now i am rambling with a EDIT: CANT TYPE EITHER...LOL pretty bad analogy, The emotions that i have experienced reading this thread, the frustration, the excitement, the anger at the choads, the outrage of how the long time great sources were treated are a first for a forum.
It is amazing to me how much changes, if i cant get on for a day or two, it seems as if i have a novel to catch up on but i love reading all of the posts.
To all of the haters on here that complain of all of the OT posts on this thread, while i respect your opinion, i must say as a lurker, i have stayed on this thread and with android forums and found much entertainment in reading all of the banter that goes on here. I cant tell you how many times i have laughed out loud, all the while the wife looks at me like i have two heads with my addiction over this phone.
To the mods and Anonimac, Thank you!! for keeping this thread alive, for taking care of all of the flame wars that have came up, and for understanding that the somewhat OT banter is what makes this thread great and has kept me coming back to AndroidForums.
To NKT - Thank you for all of your hard work and information, it is much appreciated!
Sorry this thread is so long but i have a lot to express on my experience so far. So i bid all of you hello, and now i have 30 pages to get caught up on.
*****Final Note******
All of you have inspired me to finally visit a company store and pump for information. i went today to a corporate store in the Richmond area. the amazing thing was they havent updated their store sales signs (Still BOGO on the DROID). I stood around for 10 minutes while all of the sales folks talked and laughed in the corner. Finally one came over to me by the droid and eris display and i asked about other droid phones. He tried to push me onto the Droid but i told him i wanted a better phone with not external keyboard and that i had heard of other newer HTC devices coming out. The only response i got was a deer in the headlights and drool coming off the mouth. i said thanks but no thanks. I know this isnt anything new or profound but i wanted all of you to know that my inspiration came from the group here.
Sorry for the very long post. i promise to keep the rest of them short and sweet! Please keep this place just the way it is!
Peace!

I totally understand how you feel. I would venture a guess and say a lot users here are the same way. I definitely want this Incredible since I have both the Droid and Eris. However, if any part of this lawsuit stops HTC, even temporarily, it seems there just may be some new phones already here (judging by all these posts) and I don't see how they can stop them from being sold. If that is true, there is a going to be a stampede at every Verizon store coast to coast.
There's still BOGO on the DROIDS in some places..........like BJ's wholesale club, i checked online and it seems they still have BOGO on the DROID's.
Anyways, this is just getting restless, no announcement of any kind on the Incredible is just driving me mad.......and no release date on either the Incredible or Nexus One is gonna make me commit suicide.
This wait is killing me. Up until a couple of months ago I was obsessing about a new turntable. That's right a turntable. Now It's all about this damn phone. Arrrrgggghhhh!
...... I definitely want this Incredible since I have both the Droid and Eris.......
How much (in your opinion) would I be giving up by trading my Droid for an Eris (plus add'l cash of course)
I have the Droid now and wold sell it (or the Eris) when the Incredible come out. I just like new and different things often.
I'd sell either on Craigslist when the Inc comes out, but think that there may be a bigger demand for the Droid (not withstanding the price difference)

DO NOT TAKE THAT IMAGE AS PROOF THE INCREDIBLE IS COMING TO VZW.
VZW's CelleBrite units have support for almost every cellphone under the sun. Looking through the CelleBrite database, I found entries for all version of the iPhone, ALL the Droid devices, and a bunch of other crap from 5-15 years ago.
Anyone on here that has used the machine can confirm ?
As alluded to earlier, it is possible that TODAY is the day that Verizon has been waiting on to come and go - the last thing I would want to do is release a highly anticipated phone and then a week or two later have all the buzz killed by the most highly anticipated hardware release in a year or two. And guaranteed that waaaaaay more people know about the iPad than the Incredible.
Someone mentioned earlier about Apple suing HTC for Android, but if you read the detailed lawsuit summary, you'll see that Apple is also suing HTC for a handful of WinMo phones, so this is as much or more about Sense UI than Android in some ways.
1300mAh for the battery won't be great - I just saw an article about a company that has a replacement battery for the N1 with twice the capacity of the standard battery - I think it was selling for $69ish, and has the same finish on the larger back cover like the N1's.
Also:
@Matchbox - the "surprise" with the N1 is that you'll be so excited when you open your box, that you'll have a 'happy ending'....
@jonnyjonjon - "the EVO LOOKS huge, but will probably feel just fine in the pocket."
It's not as big as what's in my pocket right NOW....
@NOLA_Droid - I needed the laugh from the Henny jokes, especially the last one.
(I figured I'd take care of a few thoughts with just one post)
Sent from my incrediPad .........................---> (j.k.)
So whats in the N1 box that is such a huge surprise?
And what is in your pocket now?
