Yea its pretty weird. Also I checked testman and vzw site. Like a couple minutes ago it had a new layout. And on testman, the tabs on the bottom showed the droid, eris, b1g1, and something else, but now on testman, it won't even load the new layout i saw and doesnt show those ads

My mom gets a USPS discount off VZW, AT&T, Sprint.
She just called them and she called me back, they said that they only give USPS discount for the primary line (i knew this) but they don't give discount on anything else like Data plans, i read somewhere that you should still get discount on data plans, unless the discount is only for the primary line for data plans? basically, can't get discount on multiple data plans. Someone feel free to clarify.
Also for AT&T, once again, no discount for anything like data plans and text messaging plans but when i go online to do it, i can get discount still........

The discount is off of the rate plan for the primary line, which will be the most expensive line. MANY co's also are given a data discount of 15-30%, off data packages, again for the primary line. An additional 25% ofo of accessories is almost always included.
Sprint has agreements to roam occassionally on Alltel & VZW towers. You can be in the condition called roaming without being charged (if ur carrier has an agreement) but u will be charged roaming should you pick up an unauthorized tower. VZW, however, has eliminated roaming fees, which I love. Either your phone will work or it won't, no worries about picking up an unfriendly tower.

Really? Not saying I don't believe you, in fact I do, it's just that the rep at the store never said anything about it when I was asking about the plans a few weeks back when I started looking at phones. I get a 15% discount as well and even mentioned it when talking to the rep. That means that VZW would be the most expensive option for me once I count in data, even with my 15% "discount" versus paying standard prices elsewhere. I suppose I'll have to jump that hurdle when this phone finally comes out. This might be a deal breaker for me. I'll be sure to bring along some comparison material. I can only hope they throw the 'best network' in my face so I can point out the two times they unexplainably cut my service and I had to spend a few hours on the phone with them to get it straightened out. Or my complaints about not receiving all my txt messages and people getting a message kicked back saying I have premium msgs blocked when in fact I have nothing blocked and even the vzw website reflects this. Best network /= Best service
Looks like a bogus "news source" created by some guy tired of waiting for The Incredible. There's way too much emphasis on VZW taking too long with The Incredible for that to be even close to real.
Anyway... I just did a little googling to help give some historical background on this kind of stuff, and it's just like I recall.

I didn't mean they would officially announce it as I completely understand testing the site before making it public. The people at VZW know that people are watching testman and for them to be stupid enough to let that slip or be seen as their "official" (not really official that's why I used quotations) announcement is ludicrous.

Really if you think about it isn't Verizon ALWAYS running Some kind of promotion? There have been lots of times also when one promotion has ended and 3 days later an almost identical one pops up i.e on Presidents day they had one of their netbooks ( the HP) for free that weekend only. That ended but it was back to free 3 days later. So promotions ending/starting etc. really probably dosn't mean a whole lot in regards to a new phone's release.

Looking at the phonearena page has me a little worried. If they list other devices for release of this month then why not others?
Let's hope that vzw just wanted to surprise us. But if this phone is so incredible why would they keep it in the dark just to release it suddenly.

I was thinking about this and to me the logical reason would be that a phone as "incredible" as this one would cause many to buy it no matter what and they could make extra money by selling other phones before they release. And if people try to return, it seems they would now be stuck with a $35.00 charge as well. So for Verizon it's a win, win. Why release "official" information that will just cause all those that don't know about this new phone (or too antsy to wait) to not buy a phone. From a business perspective if you know you have a great phone and people are going to buy it no matter what, you try to get them in a situation where they will spend as much as possible (supply vs. demand). Think about how they are pushing the Droid and Eris and all the Palms, they know you'll buy the Incredible eventually. This way people spend full price on a product they could've had for half the cost (or whatever price it ends up being) by getting them to use their NE2 now. Verizon can't be blamed at all because nothing has been officially announced.
I don't think it makes them bastards either, just smart A-holes. And in no way would they announce the Iphone (if it ever does come to Verizon) because they know people will buy the Incredible and switch over full price if they want the Apple. I fully expect an announcement with an immediate or near immediate release. T

You can't really rely on testman. My testman theories:
1. It is just a test site by VZW to help make sure their layout can handle traffic and such.
2. It is a test site VZW made up to torment people like us. The techies/web designers made it up and watch this board for reactions. They started it as a joke and laugh their butts off at us but soon realize that with testman...They have the power!!
3. VZW has nothing to do with it and it's someone like IncrediblyAnnoying messing with us because they have no life of their own and a death wish.

From what I read the only thing that was wrong was that the Council doesn't approve the phones, but only provide feedback. That still doesn't necessarily change the fact that phones are announced shortly after feedback from the council.
Also, we know they haven't received their incredibles BUT nothing was mentioned in the post about them NOT receiving them this week. As far as I can tell, it's still valid and they will be receiving the phones sometime this week.

I don't know about you but I could really go for a new leaked picture or video of the Incredible... Anyone know a person who is getting the phone next week or earlier and have them take a picture of it? I just want to see it in the flesh and blood again not another render. Is that asking too much?

I had a flashback. I remember when cell phones were for making telephone calls. Monochromatic small screens, a game or two, like snake, a few telephone numbers in the address book, big keypad small screen. Calling people on the cell phone was amazing back then. Not anymore. Things have really changed.
