Sometimes I wonder if some people even read this stuff. That said, even the best posts and discussions are quickly buried under pages of rubbish posts. Its kinda counter productive. I don't want to bum anyone out by telling this but....
My source who works in corporate asked about when the release date for the Incredible will be and was told..... There's no release date set yet, but they could see it coming out this month.
It's obviously coming out extremely soon, but there's no chance we'll find out a release date. I can see them telling people about the Incredible and having them train on it then a week after tell them that it's going to be announced the next day and released the day after. My source told me that it has happened before like that so there's a chance it could happen again.
OK this is old news, but Verizon CEO will let out he's on his knees begging APPLE for the Iphone......But giving up details about upcoming phones is considered bad business. Nothing like looking like a wussy in front of your competitors. Verizon, as a business, really baffles me!

Just in principle I want to switch to Sprint for the Evo or ATT for the iPhone. This is total bush league garbage by the Verizon brass. Screw the network and your stupid commercials and stupid can you hear me now dickface...I just want a cool looking phone that does cool stuff, like, you know, I could buy on any other network except yours!

Its already been established this thread is basically a community chat. The mods dont like it but have decided to allow it until the phone is released. All you can do is skip to the posts with a lot of "thanks" and hope its not just one of the more popular members saying "good morning."

It's in the advanced stages now... I suggested that he had Alzheimer's back in my first post a few hundred pages ago.
Steven should be given the title "official ambassador of the official incredible forum" as many of us tend to make our first posts at his expense (and a few of us at his invitation). Thanks Steven!
Thanks!
It's all good. I'm listening to Vladimir Horowitz playing Chopin's Revolutionary Etude on Youtube, now. Amazing. Everything else seems to get smaller!

Got my Droid today, and i'm in love with it. If the Incredible comes out before my 30 days in up, great. If not and I have to keep my Droid, great. You really can't go wrong with android phones. I'm happy I finally made the switch to VZW. Keep up the updates guys!
That's all on p507, which is now buried four pages back. Chances of anyone seeing that unless they are following this thread on an hour-by-hour basis are slim, unless they are prepared to sift through 15 pages a day. That's a lot of rock to crush, even if there are a few diamonds in there.
That's all I'm saying, and hope nobody else finds this too confrontational.

Ha Ha. I'm in a production of 12 Angry Men next month. Juror #6!
The guy that threatened to beat up #10 for talking down to #9 - actually liked Gandolfini in that roll... that is an INCREDIBLE movie... watched both the '57 and '97 versions too many times to count!

My boyfriend is on this thread and has been posting for awhile.. He found out some information today, but doesn't want to post it under his "login" for fear that it will get back to him somehow.
His company met with a corporate verizon rep last week to discuss new services and roadmaps for the future concerning their relationship and business They do this at least once a year. He asked the rep if he/she had heard about the incredible and even used the adr6300 sku number that had been discovered on here.. He was hounding the rep for a release date, since he pretty much knows everything else already.
The rep said that he/she hadn't heard of the Incredible, but that he/she would check with someone (at corporate) who for sure could get her some information about it. The rep said he/she would get with us as soon as they found something else out.
Well fast forward to a few hours ago, where the rep got back in touch with him. They said that the "tentative" release date will be on "April 29th", and that that information was extremely confidential..
So take that for what it's worth...
Sounds like it will be any day now with the new Training info coming out in the last few hours..
Thanks Guys and Gals,
Happy Incredible day to ya'll

Don't feel bad. I've had an account for a while and have only "tweeted" a few times. I'm not sure any of them have gone to the right person. They just disappear into Twitterland. Too many @'s #'s and names. To me the context is all fuckered up - doesn't seem to be any contextual order?? I mostly just read the people I'm following.......

It's actually me the boyfriend posting. I am just pimping out my girlfriend for a new forum login account. This was the true skinny that I heard today..
So I just got done meeting with some people from Verizon. The district guy said he was willing to openly speak about the Incredible, and said it will be out before the Nexus One. Gave it a 60-day time frame, saying he was giving a late time frame so as to not piss anyone off if the device didn't show up when he said. Said they've had testing devices for about two weeks, and that it did fail in testing. They now need to test the revision build to make sure everything is OK. He said he has used the device and it's extremely smooth and fast. His boss uses one as his primary device and the battery has been lasting all day. He said the previous build that failed testing seemed very stable and usable, so he doubted more revisions would be needed. He said late April is very feasible.
He did confirm that the device is in Cellebrite, but doubted that the warehouse actually had the number of devices rumored since they're still testing. He did say it has 8GB internal memory, and supports of to 32GB via microSD for a total of 40GB storage. The processor is the 1GHz Snapdragon.
On a related note, he said that Android 2.1 for the Eris is in testing and should be out in less than 45 days.

Thank you for this!
So basically what we have here now is that the phone's are ready to roll, and we are waiting on Verizon to give it the green light for sale?
Just read over some nice posts, thanks to those who are contributing.
The only problem I have is:
NKT confirmed that the final builds passed testing and its now on to Verizon. Yet, w0rdie's friend said it had FAILED testing and they still needed to test the final build. Contradicting information.

Its a bit of a stretch to connect any two dots in this particular puzzle. What we found out today was that the inside testers now have a live release software load in their Incs, which means testing is over.
In any normal world, that would mean that release is imminent. In the VZW world its not so clear. There may be other things that could delay release, and there are plenty of contenders if you are into that kind of conspiracy theory.
For example, VZW could be negotiating for early access or exclusivity for the CDMA iPhone. Maybe they would be willing to play a delay in the release of the Inc as a bargaining chip. This is total conjecture, based on no certain knowledge, but its this kind of thing that makes it almost impossible to know with certainty when the Inc will be released.
The only thing I'd bet on is a formal announcement from VZW at this point. CTIA was a big letdown, and I'm not up for any more of those.

I'm not exactly sure I agree you......if one of the builds failed then they should testing another build....and a while back there was a post that showed a bugfix build created on March 25th.....so maybe that is the new build being tested since the one before it failed...

Put your faith in NKTs reporting. He has had his eyes on the build, and confirms that its a release key build. That doesn't happen if there are test/spec failure cases still open from the test/compliance/QA phases.

Between bestbuy guy and stonesfan0 (which might be the boyfriend who made up a user to post the good info and pose as his gf) we have 2 29th dates.....how many do we need before I get my hopes up high enough where I'm crestfallen?

Not really....NKT hinted that the testers had another software build to test. It might have failed last month and is just finishing up the second round of testing!

True, you never really know with Verizon. I haven't really been following the Verizon version of the iPhone story. Is the iPhone that is being released on VZW the version that Apple is putting OS 4.0 on? Last I had heard, VZW was getting the iPhone 3G for now, then AT&T was getting the 2010 version of the iPhone (4G?), and then Verizon would catch up to AT&T with 2011's iPhone's being released at the same time on both networks.
Sorry if this is wrong, as I said, I haven't really been following the whole story, but if the above is true, you wouldn't think VZW would use the "push back release date" method as a bargaining chip.
Between bestbuy guy and stonesfan0 (which might be the boyfriend who made up a user to post the good info and pose as his gf) we have 2 29th dates.....how many do we need before I get my hopes up high enough where I'm crestfallen?

Just look at those framed CTIA 2010 passes you have up on your wall, and ask yourself, "Am I ready for another empty promise?"
Call me jaded, but the only thing I'll buy now is a VZW announcement. See my post a few posts up for more on this.
