Viper - do you have any idea if the 2150 extended battery has the same size footprint as the original? - or will it need a different back cover?

TS, I think you should've watermarked the pictures, so phandroid would get a little recognition when these inevitably end up on other sites.

I wonder if all those belt holster units will work if you use the bigger battery and cover

I also heard that the VIP program was expiring, when I called to verify my one year upgrade eligibility date (March 1st). I was told the same thing by an in-store rep just a couple of weeks ago.

I will be irate if they were both wrong

You'll need the new $15 dollar backplate that is shown.

Edit: If you look closely, you can see that it extends past the camera "bump" and the original backplate doesn't in the pictures we've seen.

I don't see why they would put a battery door in the first round of accessories if it wasn't required with the extended 2150mAh battery.

Those photos within the Equipment Guide are squashed —*NOT PHOTOSHOPPED ZOMG — but rather just uploaded poorly by Verizon. So no worries about the screen size. It's just a illusion created by someone who didn't upload the photos to the correct aspect ratio into the system.

I'd call again. That hasn't been what others have said... And if it has, usually they "grandfather" you in on the status that it was when you signed your last contract. That's how it is with my NE2 discount.

I really hate the odd contours on the back. It's one of the few things making me want to hold out for the N1, as silly as that sounds.

Has anyone else noticed a red circle to the left of the Verizon logo on this picture?

You can see that there is an extra ridge just under the camera that follows around the flash. So the Verizon Extended battery will require a new back plate and increase the thickness. Hopefully Seido can create an extended battery that won't require a new back plate ... Although I'm sure not a 2150 mAh battery.

After all of this time . . . .

This is not just confirmation of accessories, these are the first Verizon-generated images of an actual HTC Incredible IN THE FLESH!!!
(Oh, any these are obviously photoshopped . . . j/k )

As for the extended battery & cover, I missed where the page specified that it is an "Extended Battery Cover"

I would bet it is the proximity sensor or a light sensor for auto screen brightness.

Yes, but it looks like it has a red accent similar to how there is a red accent on the camera on the back. Proximity sensors aren't usually accented.

that is the verizon logo, not a camera, and not the proximity sensor which is on the other side I believe

Possibly front facing camera?
Notification light. Enough with the front-facing camera rumors!

Of COURSE they did! The phone is still "unofficial" and is currently unrecognized by VZW.

Probably been stated, but I'm not about to read 20 pages of posts. Partied with some local Verizon people last night, and the Incredible showed up in their store computers yesterday... the consensus is an announcement tomorrow.

wait will it have that ugly verizon logo on the front at the top when it releases you think? i also think it might have a camera. nobody thought the "supersonic" would. especially verizon has a deal with skype. i just hope it has at least a 3.7 inch screen and no verizon logo on the front.

it is not a camera or sensor, it is the "V" or "check mark" of the verizon logo itself
