Week long lurker, first time poster. I just bought the Moto Droid last week and THEN found out about THIS phone. I do like the Droid, BUT, it will be going back. I WANT THE INCREDIBLE! And I want it now...
I think the Marines are just protecting themselves and the father/son duo were like I bet if we just Photoshoped ourselves over there we would be safer behind these guys than in front of them.

The only time I can remember being this excited about a new cell phone was when I bought my very first one. A Motorola brick. LOL! Seems lately, every time I hear anyone saying ANYTHING including the word "Incredible" my blood pressure goes up! I may just need a 12 step program after it comes out to help me with my Android Forums addiction, and specifically this thread. I'll be attending a reunion out of state in July and I am hoping I have the phone in hand and I am totally familiar with it before then. It will be my first Android phone so I am really looking forward to playing with it. Anyway.....I KNOW I'm not the only one.

I'm 99% sure this has been posted earlier today but i just got home and i couldn't find it anywhere so if you guys are just getting home too, then here's a little refresher for ya:
EDIT: Qualcomm 8650 1GHZ (Hopefully this means no downclocking aswell)
8gb of internal memory (nothing new i guess, but noteworthy IMO)
512mb ROM (this could be a downer if the 8gb cant be used for apps)
512mb RAM (in my opinion, this is a bit of a letdown seeing as how the desire has 578mb or something like that and it was rumored to have 1gb)
802.11n wifi (should be good for range purposes)

Considering there's an automatic assault rifle being discharged ~12 inches from his head, yeah.
Soldier's finger isn't on the trigger.
Still, all of the accounts from people in Beirut, Gaza, etc. first-hand don't suggest bravery, but instead just that people lose sensitivity to things that would drive the rest of us mad.

Reason: Grammar...
yeah, the lack of voicemail notification is a bit of a bummer.
I don't get what you mean that you don't get notification. I get an email almost immediately saying there's voicemail and of course the sad attempt at recognition.

GOOD LUCK!!
Serious question!!! Please help!!!
On my way to the Verizon store to get a new battery for my LG Dare and will try to get some NEW information on the INC. I want the INC but like the actual keyboard of the Touch Pro 2. All the varying release dates and "rumors" "leaks" "unauthorized info", etc. is driving me insane - LITERALLY!!!
Question??? Just found this video of porting Android 2.1 on the Touch Pro2. . .isn't this the best of both worlds . . .if I get the TP2 and add Android 2.1 I get the best everything I want . . .no?? Plus the best key board on a cell phone EVER!!
Please comment on the pros and cons on this. . .been lurking on the site and know that their are several people on this thread that can give me some good advise on if this is a good move or not . . .getting impatient. My NE2 was March 26th and I am an instant gratification kinda guy.
Check out this link and please, please, please respond!!
PLEASE HELP!!!
It'll be realllly slow and buggy. Those kinds of hacks aren't very functional.

Did you look on the first page? If so it would have pointed you to this page:
Welcome fellow Omnia user! I went from loving my Omnia straight to hating it after reading about the Incredible!
I was a fellow Omnia user with a custom 6.5 ROM by MrCapcom, but sold it on eBay & bought a Verizon Palm Pre Plus on eBay to hold me over till the Incredible is released. I have to say, I bought both the Droid & the Pre Plus on eBay & tried both. Decided to use the Palm Pre Plus, STRICTLY for the webOS... LOVE the OS, but the hardware is nothing to write home about... maybe if HTC will buy Palm???
Now if only the Incredible will release at the end of the month, so I can use my NE2, & upgrade my wife & I, & I can sell this Palm Pre!
What's the deal with places like LetsTalk.com or Wirefly.com? Would they have the Incredible when it's launched, and should I consider buying from them or no? I would be a first time, new Verizon customer.

The difference in the Snapdragon model number is due to the CDMA vs. GSM difference. Odds are the CDMA N1 will have the same one as the Incredible.

Here is the difference in the processor numbers :
The QSD8250 offers HSPA data rates of up to 7.2 Mbps on the downlink and 5.76 Mbps on the uplink, with full backward compatibility. Moreover, the dual-mode QSD8650 offers HSPA, as well as CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev. B, again backward-compatible with WCDMA and GSM/GPRS/EDGE.

M4 Carbine. It is a variant of the M16 (Shorter barrel). At most you are looking at a 3 round burst, but mainly used on single shot, therefore not automatic weapon . This rifleman is using the sights to pull recon on enemy movement. When I was in Iraq, 90 percent of those "little kids" would run around barefoot on 160 degree pavement. They were raised around gunfire and war. When you think of "little kids", you are not thinking of these ones.
My university has the most wireless access points in one place of any place in the world. All of them are wireless-n. I'm never going to be using 3G on campus

The Verizon rebate process is very simple and fast. You can mail it in or fill it out and submit on line. The rebate comes in the form of a rebate card which can be used anywhere credit cards are accepted. I believe the message we received after doing one a couple months ago said to expect 6-8 weeks for delivery, but I think we got our card in a couple weeks tops. I believe that covers everything you asked. Take care.
Also, you can log onto the website listed in the information that comes with the card and have the full balance of the card transferred direct to your checking account. I did this in September of last year for my husband's BlackBerry.
Rebate cards from "regular" Verizon do not work the same way, this is just for Verizon Wireless cards. I got one from "regular" Verizon when I signed up for FIOS. I'll be using it to purchase my Incredible
Appears that today has been a slooow news day.. but tomorrow is Wednesday so hopefully that means Anon's source will have the phone is their hands since it is the middle of the week. I'm really looking forward to some pictures of the finished product!
Oh and just to add to the topic, I am a female too
I noticed that on the 'Equipment Guide - Features & Specification' leak, there is no mention of the FM Tuner. However it says that it is confirmed on the forums 'tech specs' page. This is a feature that i am really looking forward to... any one have any idea why it would be omitted on the 'Official' 'Equipment Guide'? Is the FM tuner mentioned in the user manual?

the options are endless, but what I've learned thus far is:
it's better to go the whole nine yards and get the google number, not just the voicemail.
You do link up your cell phone number to the google voice mail, so GV manages it from here on out.
With each voicemail that is left (once you have the Google number)
1) it leaves a text transcription on your phone (which hasn't been very accurate for me- but as Keebler pointed out, this is optional)
2) it leaves a voicemail on your phone (which you need to program your GV to speedial to go in and retrieve- like we mentioned earlier- no voicemail notification through your cell phone carrier)
3) it leaves a copy of the voicemail in both your gmail AND your google voice account on your computer (where once again you can read the inaccurate transcription- or listen to the voicemail over your computer
4) In both the Gmail and the GV account you can then respond to these messages either by text or email, or originate text messages (SMS) to the contact of your choosing- thereby making the paid text service of Verizon unnecessary.
I'm sure there's more that I've left out that someone can either add to or refute...

I am also looking forward to the FM Tuner. And Yes, It it in the users manual several places. Check out P-180 of the users manual.

Went in for my interview at Best Buy Mobile today. It was a great interview, but at the end, he asked me if I had any questions at all. I asked him if he had any information about the Incredible.
He told me that I'd know more when I started working there, but that Verizon might (he added a wink when he said "might") announce it before I start training. I start training in a week. Take this for what it's worth.

What will you do when may 1st rolls around and still no news about the HTC Incredible?
Better yet, what if this phone turns out to be the biggest hoax ever in phone history?
Heh just preparing myself for disappointment *sigh
Wow, what a miserable life some people must lead.
