I know both those are fairly complicated apps. Sometimes simpler apps are more appealing to the masses. Although the Android demographic is usually more on the techie side, it's going more and more mainstream all the time.
Since we basically know everything we wanted to know about Droid Incredible. Should we start speculating when (if ever) it will update to Android's Froyo? Too soon?

The 25 is the stock date in the computer. However, most of the time the store doesn't actually receive the phones until a couple of days after. I'm not promising they will but they should be able to sell the phone as soon as it enters the store.
So according to this article, it wont be available in stores until May 5th????

JK, I don't think Froyo is imminent though. Otherwise wouldn't they want to introduce the Evo as the first Froyo device. I'm thinking Fall at the earliest for Froyo to be released, and that'd probably mean sometime 2011 for an update to the Inc.

I'm friends with the manager there and have employed about half of the staff and they have all told me that they would be able to. Now whether or not they are just doing me a favor or they would sell it to anyone, I don't know.

Anyways, people, this phone will be IN STOCK at Best Buy on the 25th. NOT FOR SALE. I work at another retail store, and these inventory systems are almost never wrong. I would strongly defend that these phones will be arriving at Best Buy's around the country on April 25th (or possibly the 24th or 26th too, this is just one store we are seeing).

FWIW - when I talked to the mobile guy at BB about a week ago he said that they usually start pre-orders a week before they go on sale...can anyone confirm that?

oooh! Oooh! I'm working on an Android app tonight that should end up being pretty useful and simple I hope ...and if all goes well later on I'm going to write an app geared towards bicyclists (yes I know there are a few out there but mine will be better)

I posted seeing the same information a few days before he did just without pictures. He even referenced it in his post. You won't hurt my feelings by not believing it but I've talked to them everyday since.
i have a feeling that someone at best buy is gona miss the memo about the 29th and some lucky person is gona get their hans on it pretty soon (kinda like what happened a couple of days before the HD2 launch and walmart).

One of the reasons I pre ordered Halo 3 at Bestbuy. They gave it to me 4 days early!!!! Usually if it is in stock they will sell it. At least that is in my experience

If they do that too often without penalizing the perpetrators, companies may wait to ship them stock until after the release date.
Been reading this forum since around February. Just wanted to thank everyone for the inside info. Work prohibits me from posting but not reading. yup... she's a junior. We like Myako's there, by the Double Tree. Honestly, that's one of the nicest Japanese Restaurants we've been to anywhere. Do you know which one I mean?
